Jabari looks mid as hell for 4 years now, not improving and not good.

Reed looks like a potential bust, he looks tinny and helpless out there and can't even get minutes as a top 4 pick.

WTH

Lolol.

I think part of Houstons problem is they have too many young guys. It creates a bit of a roster jam and limits players opportunities to find consistency.

Jabari and Reed are top 3 picks. Theyre not 27th picks like Jovic. With their limited exposure, we should take the chance to get them before they prove themselves as roster staples.

Also, Jimmy is 35 wifh a big contract. What should we get in return?

How about someone who is either good or has real upside?

Jimmy is legit proven playoff stud. I rather let him walk for nothing then get some random average rotation players.

It's either a proven player we believe in - Fox/Ingram/______
Or a upside young player - Amen Thompson/Dereck Lively/__________

And depends on the deal - we need to get a bunch of picks, and not take on chit contracts.

It's either get REAL VALUE or don't make the trade.

For further context,

Jayson Tatum this season has an ORTG / DRTG of 119/109,
Donovan Mitchell; 114/111,
Giannis; 122/111,
Jokic; 130/110.

Butler is ELITE. Too bad he's 35 :/

We’ve been BEGGING the FO to go all in for years! It’s unfortunate they never would and honestly baffling

Fox will not be enough to win it all, unless Jimmy is staying. We will still need a pivot this summer and we need to add another all star talent, it is what it is.

Good thing is, you’re not trading for Fox at near maximum value. He’ll be an expiring contract if you trade for him this summer (drives down the price a lot and the bidders) and he has Klutch leading the charge, if he wants to be here he’ll get here. I’d assume we’d be very high on the list and I wouldn’t be shocked if this is where he wants to come.

Interesting that you have Lively and Amen as young with upside yet Jabari and Reed dont fit that criteria?

I think the house divided comment by Wade and the Shams stuff feels pretty real that we are doing a trade. Might as well add assets whether theyre your preferred or not.

Riley really done goofed when he gave Bam his money and didn’t extend Jimmy. Now we’re gonna send Jimmy to win a title with the Warriors and we’re gonna be stuck paying Bam 50+ million a year to DHO.

Just give him the damn extension and end this circus, Riley!
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

It was reported by the Herald a couple of months back that Jimmy won't sign an extension even if offered. He intends to opt out and sign a multi year deal in the summer.

Butler news makes me sad af. I honestly can't see a trade like this happening, it's not like the heat FO to give up on playoff contention to chase assets.

Houston has always been the most obvious trade partner. Have the assets in picks. Have the assets in tradeable contracts. Have the young players.

I really think we need to nab one of Sheppard or Thompson in this deal. Both fit needs for us.

Jimmy isn't Kevin Durant, but KD at the same age fetched:

Mikal Bridges
Cam Johnson
Jae Crowder
4 x Unprotected Firsts

If Jimmy moves, we should expect a reasonable haul. He's still an all-time playoff performer and all-star calibre SF.

Maybe his agent is putting this out there to let Riley know they’re willing to negotiate again? The Butler run is supposed to be Riley’s last hurrah, I don’t want to believe that Riley thinks it’s over and throws it away like this. We still got some assets to combine and get Butler some help.

If we don’t get the young players KD fetched I want the 4 1sts, Houston has 10. That gives us 5-6 1sts Jovic Ware and Jaime to snag 2 all stars like Fox and someone else

Ideally, we'd get Amen Thompson in this deal and then package the picks up for Fox along with Jovic and Jaime.

Fox / Smith
Herro / Larsson
Robinson / Thompson
Highsmith / Keshad
Adebayo / Ware

Something like that. Good young core with vets in their primes.
