The asset management would be prohibitively bad, I'm afraid. This org won't trade jk (or podz) for Schroeder 4 months after refusing to include either in a Paul George trade. Not saying it's the right decision, sunk cost fallacy and all, but I don't see them doin it
I don’t think BKN wants Kuminga. They has Thomas who wants max too. What will they do with two players who demand max contracts?
I doubt anyone gives Kuminga a max. Why would they? Worst case for Bkn is they don't match an offer and he walks, which Schroeder probably would have done anyway. They end up with draft picks.
Only reason I think they'd prefer JK to a 1st is because they have lots of 25 1sts already, and at some point are going to want players. JK has defensive upside that Thomas doesnt, and has actually flashed it at times. So maybe?
But will definitely admit its extremely unlikely for JK to wind up there. A 3rd destination could be in play? Overall point was that I wouldnt pass on Schroder if JK was involved, unless he's actually turning a corner. Problem is though that he's turned a corner so many damn times now he may have just made a square
