PHX game and now this one has me feeling good that they can hang with pretty good teams even without Franz and Paolo if their defense is locked in and their energy stays high. Steal a few before Xmas and Paolo's return and then let's roll when the star(s) come(s) back.

Orlando went on a 13-5 run late in the 4th to first tie the game up at the 3 min mark and still be up 3 at the 1 min mark.


Then it was Dame time. Game over.

Valiant effort. I was expecting us to get blown out with Franz and Paolo in these last two games and they've beaten a good Phoenix team and gone toe to toe on the road with a surging Bucks team. Can't be upset at that, despite the loss.

Jalen shows he has what it takes to continue to take the next steps offensively and become a huge threat. The one area he probably needs to work on is late clock and late game shot selection. On one hand he's shown, just like in college, he's willing and capable of hitting big shots and stepping into the moment. He just needs to calm himself down a smidge in those moments and make sure the shot choice is the right one.

But we were like -14 with him on the court.

That -14 plus/minus for M-Wagner is indeed odd; as is he negatives for all bench guys.

It's odd as Orlando's bench outscored the Buck's bench 44-37. Strange stat line!

It's not really odd, we were horrendous on defence in Mo's minutes, that's what usually happens when you partner a bad defender at centre with bad perimeter defenders like Cole and Jett and there's no defensive savant like Isaac erasing their mistakes.

Anyway, really good effort from the team but we came up short. Wendell played great D on Giannis, Suggs hit big shots late and had another incredible defensive game, Black was really good defensively and made some very good plays on offence. KCP was back to bricking his 3s, I love his D, but his poor shooting is a problem.

Cole's poor shooting was decisive in this one, unfortunately.

It is odd in that if the Magic bench scored more than the Bucks bench, how can any bench player have a negative plus/minus?
The answer is that the Bucks starters played against the Magic bench and vice versa. And that makes the odd stat.
