You might be stuck with Jerry for a while longer. He seems like the type to hang on til death.

I've said this for a few years now.

Jerry will die trying to win another Super Bowl without Jimmy. So will I.
And that's where the whole route of this long going issue is all about. Everyone gave Jimmy all the credit, and still to this day, it still drives Jerry nuts.

I disagree. Jerry has so much money he could never reasonably spend it all in the rest of his life and he knows it. Especially at his old age. I think one of the only things in the world he wants at this point is a Super Bowl, and I bet if it came down to it, he would lose a whole lot of money to do it if he could.

I love it when people who have no idea what the hell they're talking about run their mouth. You're gonna lose your mind when he gets elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February.

The only think that keeps Jerry from spending stupid money is the salary cap. Because he would. And yes - he wants one more Super Bowl trophy badly.

I couldn't disagree more. Jerry is a dip ****, has an ego the size of Texas, but when it comes to winning, especially his Cowboys, he's all in. More often than not, to all in, to the point he takes too many risks, that to this day continuously gets our team handcuffed and in trouble. Red flag players and bad contracts. Jerry wants to win, win and win. He just doesn't know how to win and is a total disaster as Gm and drafting.

I actually believe that Jerry is planning to step away soon and in many ways he already has with his son Stephen taking many of the GM duties.

Well it can't come soon enough. and don't expect things to get any better with Stephen. The Sample size is more than clear now on which direction this once proud franchise has been going. Look what Tom Landry and Tex Schramm accomplished, built, etc., their first 29 years as the only Head coach and GM we ever had to what we have gotten out of Jerry and his puppets since he ran Jimmy out the door. Its a striking contrast for those of us that came from the good old days.

The only thing Jerry is a champion of is making money and keeping his team constantly in the headlines.

Had to go to other networks today for all the break down of games instead of ESPN. Bad enough Dan Orlovski was on but Screaming A. Smith spent the first 20 minutes trying to shine light once again on racism in the NFL with the Tyreek Hill incident instead of talking about the games. Makes me wonder what type of fan base ESPN is trying to please here. I like to get as much info, stats, tape, etc., and opinions as I can get but this network constantly and consistently makes them harder to watch.

Yeah, Jerry is going to be running that team while he's on his death bed. He's to ego maniacal to accept that there is someone else out there who could make a better GM than him.

8 years ago. Same exact things were being said about Jerry back then. :ouch:

Still waiting for Raoulduke79 to cut and paste and then post the most classic photo I've ever seen in this forum over the years of his favorite past coach of Houston.
