I really wanted that fcking cup and thought we had a legit shot. we're so fcking talented and that's how we played. embarrassing. would be one thing if we just got outplayed. but we looked soft and unprepared on both ends of the court.
How about a hot fresh cup of Knicks disappointment instead
has me questioning my fanhood
they always do this sht and I'm too old to be this emotional over a cup loss

This team lacks toughness. I thought Precious would help, but he got tossed around like a biatch. Mitch should help, but we're a little soft.
None of the bench guys really got going either. This was a disappointing loss.

Re: PG: Knicks vs ATL
Last year's team lacked talent but they had an identity: toughness. We played hard, defended well and that kept us in games.
Now we win games when we out-talent the opponent and/or guys have good shooting nights. But that identity is gone. And I don't know if Mitch alone can bring it back.

Not sure what you were watching out there. He constantly loses his man on rotations. He couldn't defend the lob at all tonight. He is very slow to rotate. He is stuck standing and watching the ball handler and never sees his man. We need Mitch back badly to hide KATs horrendous defense if we plan on going anywhere.
@guan0
kat's defense is suspect at best and isn't why we lost that game

Trying too hard

I thought it wouldn’t but when he was crying about it, I worried
Not because crying is bad but assigning such importance to it. Something didn’t feel right

If I’m being honest, Leon will have to decide between keeping Brunson or KAT. Can’t make up for their defense… two holes on defense can’t work.
KAT will probably be flipped this summer or the following summer. It seems inevitable…

Re: PG: Knicks vs ATL
Trae was put on the weakest ball handler (OG), usually Thibs don't run plays for their weakest ball handler, thus Trae was barely put in plays to make him defend.

Couldn't have played worse probably
Refs swung the momentum. This was the worst officiating I've seen this year

I mean Mitch can’t play the other side or pass or a lot of stuff, so hope I’m wrong but doubt it

He hasn’t played like the Captain. He basically abandoned his troops when they needed him the most. Didn’t like that

So hopefully Rick Brunson gets fired shortly after the Brunson trade

We are one piece away and that piece is already on the roster. Mitchell Robinson needs to get healthy. And with all this time they’ve giving him, once he’s back there better be no more injuries. Cuz if he gets hurt again, at that point you gotta move on and trade him for the best shotblocking big you can get.
nope, i don't want to wait. We go through this every year with him. Rather trade him now.
I can’t say you’re wrong.
