Just my humble opinion, Thibs brought out the best out of Randle and Donte and they really fit well next to OG and Brunson. Those guys are Thibs guys. This new team is an Anti Thibs roster, it'll never work under him. We had something good brewing.

nice that we're all on the same page - this isn't a thibs team

#firethibs

I been said we gave thibs an anti thibs team for a good while. I’m still skeptical if any other coach can fix this though. When I saw Josh hart ranting to the media saying we’re being too harsh on Mikal, to me that sounds like nobody in the locker room is holding each other accountable. That’s an issue that’s bigger than coaching.

i wasn't aware that you were the originator of the #firethibs campaign.

It’s up to this idiot Thibs to adjusts. He is allowing a LOT of soft defense from Mikal just because
Send a message and start deuce. Send a message and bench Hart. Start Precious.
This is what will fix a lot of the problems we have.
We will rebound. We will defend better.

When will this guy adjust ?
When will he step up in the locker room and hold ppl accountable?
When are we going to have consistency?
How many games does it take for him to realize Mikal can’t guard the point of attack?
How many games does it take to stop playing drop coverage ?
How many games does it take to realize you give yourself the best chance to win when you can win in different ways?
How many games does it take to pair KAT with another big to help with rebounding?

We need to first learn how to beat the Hawks before we worry about beating the Celtics.

Thibs got it figured out already. We just lose on purpose at the end of the season to avoid Hawks, send them to C's and they will do the job. Then Bucks beat them and we destroy the bucks.

I actually thought about this, but to ensure they face the top seeds, the hawks would need to finish 7th or 8th

I actually WANT us to avoid the 3rd seed and just get to the 4th seed, that way we avoid Boston in the second round. I expect the cavs to finish 1, and Celtics 2. We need to stay in the 4 seed to play cavs in the second round.

Just be ready, healthy, and playing our best for the last 25-30 games of the regular season.

Great that Leon took 4 years and every asset the Knicks have to create another team that can't beat the mediocre Hawks.

I'm going to pass on the rest of the year.
It's no fun rooting for a capped out team with no path to getting better, that isn't that good.
This is just a slightly upscale version of every f*cking Knicks team for the last 23 years.
The ghost of Isiah Thomas still roams the halls of MSG

Wake me up Dolan intervenes and they fire Thibs (which he should absolutely do) or they trade someone, anyone, because this starting lineup isn't it.

Not sure if it's Hart, Mikal, hell, it could even be Towns or Brunson.

Time to shake it up.
Well, they'll plod through this year to a .500 record while Thibs injures his players and then get bounced in the 1st round.
Yeah, that's fun. I think I'll watch every game and post a zillion times about this gang of underachievers.

Or, see you next year.
Sh*t isn't fun.
For once in the last 23 years I wanted to be able to enjoy an actual good team.

This isn't that.

Hopefully Leon does something.
Something other than mortgage more of the future for an ill conceived roster coached by the wrong guy.

This loss wasn't fun....

but when I stop to remember the blessing that Randle is no longer on my team, I feel much better.

Yeah, this team that can lose to anybody and is barely playing .500 ball and has no assets left to make trades with is GREAT.

I just watched. man my panic-level is a 8 on a scale from 1-10...
you have a chance to go to Vegas and compete at least for SOMETHING, but you have THIS performance...
Losing to the Hawks, Barely hanging on a against a depleted Raptors team and losing the Pistons before that.
this is getting really really bad. If we are not a way better team by the end of the month I am looking HARD at trades if I'm Leon...

Yes, the Knicks just need 50 to 55 games for the magical "gelling" to happen.

Then they'll be SO dominant.

Sure.

The team hasn't been good all year.

Oh, they spread the floor and get more assists. That's the big accomplishment.
Too bad it doesn't lead to actually being, you know, good.
