Jalen Johnson has arrived. In the regular season, that is.

Knicks can't get a stop when they need it. That's gonna be a problem in the playoffs.

Looks like the Knicks tanked their final group stage game for nothing..

Most enjoyable I must admit.

Last I checked, the Hawks got 16 offensive rebounds.

Those Knick fans that didn't believe that the KAT trade cost them their identity better believe it now.

Knicks last season were about grit, toughness, and controlling the paint.

Look at the Knicks now, they're soft!

Knicks knocked out of the Cup.

Hawks really abused the Knicks in the paint.

This Atlanta team is a serious head scratcher. They’ve been beat by nearly every bottom feeding team this year and conversely have beat a lot of solid teams. It’s fascinating to say the least.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Two high-powered offenses in this NBA Cup knockout game!! 20-18 after one. It's like the late 90s all over again.

Cavs will have trouble with them.

Good job by the Hawks realizing having 2 PGs as starters was not working.

By trading Murray and replacing him with a bigger and better defender in Dyson, the Hawks now have balanced starting 5.

Why did no one call timeout when GP2 had the ball? Very unclutch by the Warriors. They were up 6 with a minute left.

Not only did Rockets advance in NBA Cup, they ended a 15-game losing streak to the Dubs.

Atlanta is 9-3 with Bogdan Bogdanovic in the lineup and 5-9 without him. Now I don't think they are going to sustain a 75% win rate with him available but it's pretty clear that they really need his playmaking and shooting to keep the offense going when Young goes to the bench.

It's more than just Bogi. It's also Hunter. When Trae sits, Jalen Johnson runs point and Hunter has been on an tear shooting the ball.
Too many early injuries, all at the same time for the bench unit lead to losses vs the losing teams.
The return of Onyeka, Hunter and Bogi from injury has made a difference.

Thank you for this. I've watched very few Atlanta games and wasn't sure how they were coming to some of their surprising losses or wins. I know they put us in a blender that one night, and that's when I really learned who Dyson Daniels is.

Knicks def missing that grit....I think they underestimated that Nova chemistry and Randle when healthy was a stud. Devo missing, is def a hole on their bench.

From Day One I said OG or Hart playing the PF position is a bad idea.

And they'll never become a great defensive team as long as KAT is the Center.

JT has average handles. Just watch him try to dribble inside. He gathers the ball too early when there is a defender, then its euro stepping. That’s why he misses a ton of layups. You don’t get enough lift if you euro step your way to the basket. JT can’t just stop on a dime and shoot a midrange. No floaters. If its not euro stepping inside, its a 3pt shot. He has no mid range game at all. Everytime he post up, its either a turn around fade away, or a one legged fade away. He even does fade aways against smaller unathletic guys like strus. He makes it hard for himself. He’s 6’10 jeez. Just do a straight up jumpshot. Nobody is blocking him lol. Plus luka can bully anyone inside. Pump fake, use the board, do floaters. More like what Celtic killer Jimmy Buckets does. Pump fake, and shoot a midrange or floater, or bait a foul.

There’s no stat or percentage that shows JT actually misses a ton of layups. There’s not even one that shows he’s not better than most other stars.

No need for the stats. We all watch the celtics play, and most especially JT. He does miss a ton of easy layups. Easy and1’s. Some of them in crunch time, like what happened in cleveland. Then he raises his hands to complain to the refs. He doesn’t finish well through contact. A lot of times he just throws the ball to the hoop when he gets bumped, not actually trying to make the shot. He is more effective if he attacks the hoop and be aggressive, and not settle for the 3 ball, but he needs to be better at finishing shots. Also **** with thise euro steps. Its almost automatic he’ll do a euro if there is a defender in front. He seldom take it strong.

The counter argument would be there's no need for the eye test. If it's as much of a problem as you describe then shouldn't the stats show how he misses a ton of them? This isn't assists or blocks where the official score keeper can manipulate a stat...

Snyder has done a good job with the Hawks. Getting rid of John Collins was a great move.

I have to admit, I root for the Rockets. Still an Udoka fan I guess. They are like last year's Knicks: tough, gritty. But with more talent, length, energy, youth.
