Probably blackmailed at something similar to a Diddy or Epstein way.
Really, too much money involved to think refs are not (at times) compromised, blackmailed, leveraged or the like.

It was unfortunate to see us lose the game when I got back. KAT played very solid defense in the first half, am disappointed to see he is being blamed for the collapse in the second half.
Regardless, I feel that our resistance at the point of attack is too weak. I have seen good defensive stats for Mikal but the eye test says otherwise as I see him constantly being beat by his man or easily erased by a screen. Looking at Mikal’s DPOY runner-up highlights back when he was with the Suns, his value came from being an excellent help defender with him also being able to provide rim protection whenever the opposing guard beats Ayton off the dribble.
OG might be a better POA defender but we would tire him out and could lead to costly injuries if done extensively. Deuce is the ideal one to put here at the POA, with OG and Mikal being the terrors on the wings. Just need to figure out the rotations on which of KAT, JB, Josh or others would play most with those three guys.
Interesting points worth trying and most coaches would for stretches.
But Thibs is gonna make the the square fit in that damn circle.
Wish he would try new lineups and play Pacom some minutes.
Also, we need (try) to play a 5 next to towns. Thibs would be game. Offense will not be there every night. Losing Hart really hurt. If we can get Kessler…
It doesn’t matter about the bigs that we have. Science has a good point, and one I have been harping on for so so long. Mikal cannot play the point of attack, he’s a better defender on the wings. It has to be deuce at that spot. The simple change would be deuce at the POA. But that leaves us a small lineup. That’s why i say take Mikal out as well and replace with precious to add size. Now we have precious who can defend at a high level, and is a great rebounder, with KAT, deuce Brunson and OG

We lost that game, Randle shot 8-21 and that was his best game of the playoffs.

Missing the point here. He let trae know it ain’t sweet over here, like this soft ass team we have here now. We let Trae acted like he owned MSG last night when he played terrible and nobody did a thing to confront him at any point in the game.

I mean, he keeps admitting he's just trolling, so yeah.

They had a 108 ORTG last night which is 4 below their average, the first time we played them they had a 124 ORTG. So yeah, I'd rather give up 2s over 3s.
We could have won last nights game if our coach actually targeted Trae, but that's not his fault.
First time we played them we made like the 2nd most 3s in franchise history at 22. Made 7 more than they did and still lost. They would have had the same ORTG if they weren’t bricking so many open layups especially in the first half. We had a 100 ORTG last night, apparently that's not Tom's fault either.
Do you want us shooting more 3s or 2s because now you are contradicting yourself with what you value when we play offense vs when the opponent plays offense. You wanted us to attack Trae more and drive and look for 2s? We shot 26% from 3 so obviously that wasn’t working and you can always just shoot over Trae like players shoot over Brunson neither will contest anything. Besides, who is attacking Trae? Mikal? You didn’t he didn’t have opportunities to do so? Had plenty but it’s Mikal.
"If"
They had a higher ORTG in game one because they were making threes, just like the Raptors had a high ORTG in the first half because they made 9, and their ORTG plummeted in the 2nd half when they made 4. You can live with a team making 2s, you cannot live with teams making threes on volume.
I wanted us to attack Trae to get them in rotation which is what every team does against them, except our coach. We didn't do it in the playoffs series either, but that also wasn't Tom's fault. I wanted them in rotation so we could get better looks, and yes we could use Mikal more on ball, but he is just Mikal and it's not Thibs fault he's used mostly as a movement shooter with even less on ball opportunities now than he had with the Nets. His plays as the PnR ball handler are half of what they were with the Nets
Nothing is Tom's fault, I get it.

He dropped a ball on him and walked off, he came out the next half and went 3-10. What Nerlens and Solomon did were tough, what Randle did is what losers do when things don't go their way.

Buttah304 wrote:Why are we talking about Randle? Yes, there are plenty of games and opponents he was excellent for but we should never use him as a bright spot vs ATL.
In the 5 game playoff series he was 28/94 (28% FG), 11-34 3PT (32%), had a 42% TS, was a -42 and compiled 20 assists to 23 turnovers.
This is like an episode of the twilight zone

I have two young kids and I don't know if I've seen as big a tantrum as the reaction to that trade. It's embarrassing.

Oh we are living alright. We made 7 more 3s than the Hawks in the first matchup and made more 3s last night but we lost both games. We sure are living
Oh ok so we need to now turn Mikal into a 1st option because he was so on the Nets. We got Brunson and KAT but our first option should be Mikal Bridges. I guess we can live with that too.

Nah, he wasn’t dodging smoke from anyone like this team does.
