Mr. Untouchable

Post#1 » by Romulus » Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:40 am

Yeah, that's right. And I hope you don't like it. Joe Lacob hopes you don't like it, either. Stop with the nonsense. Stop with the trade talk. Mr. Untouchable is going nowhere. Not now, not in the off-season, not any time in the future.

It's simple. You just don't trade away your rock, your cornerstone. You don't trade away a future starter. You don't trade away a future All-Star. You don't even think about letting go of a future Hall of Famer. There are only a chosen few who become NBA legends. Mr. Untouchable is so named because he's soon to lead the Warriors to multiple championships. Steph Curry? He's just kid's stuff, child's play, an imposter.

Mr. Untouchable is the real deal. And he's soon to lead the Warriors to a dynasty only Curry could dream about.

Sure, you can argue he's had a few rough patches along the way. OK. But have no fear, Steve Kerr has a master plan already in place and knows the steps necessary to assure the Podz dynasty stays on track. Concerned? Have no worries. That 38.3% shooting from the field this season? That 23.8% 3-point shooting? Just close your eyes and unsee it. Those wide open 3s he gives up because he constantly ball watches and hangs out in the paint to draw charges and get rebounds? Please realize it's NOT stat-padding and instead is all about helping the team win those close games in the 4th quarter. Coach Kerr has already tried to educate the uneducated and told you first hand that Podz is going to play -- lots and lots of minutes -- because he does so many things to help the team win. So, please, don't worry if he's on a usual run of poor shooting and poor defense, or fouling 3-point shooters at crucial moments. Coach Kerr knows the answer is just to give the future legend more minutes.

So, just stop it. Take him off the table. Mr. Untouchable is here to stay. For decades and generations to come. Just grab your popcorn and watch it all unfold -- and stop complaining.

BREAKING NEWS.

Sources have confirmed to ESPN that a 3 team trade involving the Warriors, Lakers, and Heat is in the final stages of agreement. The deal would land the Warriors both Lebron James and Jimmy Butler. Joe Lacob has been secretly working on this deal for months. However, sources have just now confirmed that the deal has been called off because the Heat requested that Brandin Podziemski be included in the deal. Apparently, Lacob has decided it simply is not worth the "risk" of trading a future All-Star. Understandable.

LMAO. Thanks. I needed that after watching the Warriors "score" 37 points in a half.

You can't criticize Podz because he drew another charge last night so nothing else matters. I don't think I've seen such a young player lead the league in "I got shot in the face" writhing in pain on the floor since LeBron, he's the real deal.

nothing I hate more in this league than when GMs and teams hold on to players for too long just for sentimental reasons or just because they want to price gouge other teams.

sell high, buy low. this isn't a fkn revolutionary concept. we sold way too late on almost every single player we traded away so far. Poole should've been traded way earlier than he was, same with Wiseman, we're gonna end up trading JK way later than he should've been too, and probably Podz as well, and lose value on every single transaction so far.

in fact, I don't even remember the last high value transaction we made. it's all just one L after L because we hold on to players that clearly don't fit here too long.

Wiseman should've been traded after his rookie season, Poole should've been traded after the chip immediately, Podz should've been traded after his rookie year and this isn't hindsight.

on the other end of it, there are a bunch of buy low candidates around the league that would be great fits in this scheme and offense but we're nowhere to be found ever. our moves are always reactionary.

They've said that about all their draft picks. Poole had all star potential. Wiseman had all nba potential. JK had all nba potential. Moody had all star potential. That's what they think about all their draft picks.

The reactionary board hate gets ridiculous sometimes. But a few good games and the "I always knew it" love will follow. Up and down on the forum rollercoaster.

Everything comes down to his shot. If he can fix it he's good... and personally I like a player that has a bit of ticker in their chest but whatever.

no.
the (lousy) attitude has been a problem as well. that's not "a bit of ticker in the chest". he's playing bad on both sides of the ball, not just offensively, and rather than be humble and spit blood on the court he acts like he's a 4 time champions who just led the team to a title. either he understands who the f*** he is, definitely not an all-star, or he can go to hell together with his demeanour.

PS the reactionary board hate has a name and a surname: joe lacob. many on this board predicted this, so it shouldn't be a surprise at all. when you exalt a player beyond his real virtues and this player underperforms, this kind of reaction is inevitable. especially if the attitude of this player stinks.
