Re: PG: Knicks vs ATL
1. Thibs got out coached again and is not likely the coach to get us to the promised last
2. Drop coverage is terrible for this current team with KAT at the 5
3. We played a solid first half then we took the foot off the gas
4. Brunson looks hurt... he's definitely not 100% right now but won't say so
5. We can still secure the 3rd seed for the playoffs, but a trade is likely needed to maximize this roster this season

Assuming #2 is correct as many here think:
Is Thibs just banking on Mitch returning because he thinks drop coverage with a rim protector is the best system?
Or
He is incapable of changing to another defense, a switching one that would use Kat better?
Banking on a healthy Mitch seems like a shaky gamble
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Silly claims. They will keep adding more as they learn and get comfortable with what they are doing now but interesting to see that at least our ATO execution has been very good but Thibs can’t be out there with a clipboard all game long

I'm gonna go see it in Orlando. Either I'll get a decent seat or be in the nosebleeds, but I'm going.
20 years on realgm and this will be the first time I ever go to a Knicks game.
I hope you experience a good win. Despite the “sky is falling” shtick the very vocal minority incessantly trumpet, we’re on pace to win over 50 games. Enjoy the game and get some Knicks chants going
42 wins. Book it.
League has figured these frauds out.

How many ATP’s are there in a game vs total offensive possessions? Running basic plays like this don’t make Thibs an offensive mastermind.

It’s a miracle we gave Thibs an anti Thibs team and we have a record above .500. Thank you Thibs!

Nice to see Thibs is trying to force Mikal into getting better. That’s my coach!

That is true… in retrospect, Leon & Co should’ve known we were gunna lose iHart and Mitch was yet again gunna take forever to come back, and that we needed to fully commit to changing the identity of the team and not extended Thibs.
Easy to say now that they should’ve done him the favor and cut him loose knowing he’s a one dimensional coach who didn’t have the backbone of his identity anymore (iHart/Mitch). But hearing how thorough they are with considering all possibilities regarding trade scenarios, I dunno how they didn’t see this coming.
We should’ve went after another coach (like Atkinson who a lot of people wanted for a while, including you) and traded our picks from the last draft in addition to Mitch and went all in. But now we’re stuck in the middle… rookies who don’t play and have no trade value as a result, an ill fitting coach, 8 man roster, and dead weight like Mitch who is now taking way longer to return.
That being said, I prob blame Leon more than Thibs.

Knicks better take care of business.
Orlando are down their 2 best players. We got our 6 best players (Mitch is our 7th best).
Jalen Suggs is their only legit scorer. Two best players after him are Moritz and Goga.

the clip they use isn't even a set play either, just a "feel" cut by OG.

Thibs signed off on trading Randle for KAT.
