WELL, I don't understand this at all and I'm getting to a point of really not caring anymore. McCarthy was brought in 5 years ago to get the Cowboys over the hump of not getting by the divisional round for over 2 decades. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I remember Jerry publicly stating 3 years ago he wanted Mike to clean up the penalties (especially the major stupid ones) and bring more accountability and discipline to the team because it was apparent to him and Cowboy nation that was an area of need to be fixed. None of those goals have been accomplished. Lets not get into time management abilities and situational football.

Based on pretty much all of the reports Bill took the UNC job because he was getting zero interest from the NFL, not even the Cowboys. The UNC job was literally his only option.
