Dennis the Menace

Post#1 » by vvoland » Sat Dec 14, 2024 9:39 pm

Per shams:

Schroeder and a second for Melton and 2 second rounders.

Not only did we get the best fit available for the cheapest price, we got him early enough to matter and we can still trade him in 6 weeks if it doesn't work or we need his salary to match a bigger contact.

MDJ putting in work like we all wish he did when he was playing here.

Well f'ing done!!!!

In my excitement, misspoke. It's 3 second rounders going to bkn, not two.

Awesome!! Hit my offer from a week ago, 2SRP. Just perfect by MDJ.

Ya in my initial excitement I read it too fast also. They send one, we send 3.

Here is the trade if anyone is confused (some discussion of Beekman being added):

Meh. There's a reason Schröder has bounced from team to team.

I can't wait to see Steph play the 2 next to an elite dribble penetrator. Now that he's in his late 30s, this may be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Finally, a guard who can defend and create for himself/others without needing Steph or Draymond to do it. The bench unit now has a true pg and in this system, he will flourish.

Now, go get a true center who can either defend or stretch the floor.

Obviously this can't become official until tomorrow. Wonder if they might expand the deal?

Kudos…perfect for ORL, but thumbs up their ass as usual. Excited to draft a couple more 18 year olds for the G league this summer :banghead:

Kuminga, Moody, GP2 for Cam thomas.

realistically giving up 3 players for 2 at this point. Tough to lose gp2 though

I’m guessing you mean cam Johnson that would be ideal.

So this ends the Podz at PG experiment, gets the team a legit drive and kick threat, and kept all important depth pieces

Dont know if Kerr is an analytics guy but its safe to say MDJ is

I wonder if they are thinking of this as a rental, since they didn’t give up a FRP, they don’t have to re-sign Schroeder at end of season.

Otherwise if they try to acquire one of the Nets wings, they no longer have SRPs to trade?
