The refs did nothing either. Taunting is a technical foul all day every day.

I have 1/20 circled on my calendar. Retribution will be expected. I don't like that we didn't get in his face or react to what he did in some way though.

As for Trae? He's repeatedly embarrased when our fans out cheer his fans in his house and, we repeatedly spank him. He's got this game and one playoff series 4 years ago. Other than that he usually gets his ass kicked by the Knicks.

As for Shart? He wouldn't have done shyt either.

The team is soft. End of story.

The right response is "He did it and we didn't stop it. We let them beat our ass and embarrass us. Next time it will be different. Sometimes you have to get smacked in the mouth to put up a fight. This won't happen again."

And then go out and kick ass.

These lame responses by the team - especially Brunson and Hart ("I didn't see it happen, anyway it's old news now!") - are disappointing to say the least.

This team got lots of issues on defense

Safe to say if Leon had had a crystal ball and seen Mikal would be below average defensively he wouldn't have done the trade, Nova Knicks be damned. I also think since coming here, Mikal has been ok but not "overly excited" about playing with JB and Josh... my theory is people grow... Mikal is still single, while Josh and JB have wives and kids... when you get married and especially have kids your focus, priorities, sense of humor, convos, life perspectives change. I think the convos that used to make them close aren't the same anymore, and Mikal is closer to other players who are single too like OG, or Finney Smith on the Nets.

How has he regressed so much on defense??

I don’t know if it has to do with all of the maturation of relationships or the simple fact that he thrived when he played defense on the wings and in one on one. He was never asked to guard point of attack and that’s why he looks like a fish out of water. But the coaching staff and Thibs is too stupid to realize any of this.

Right now Thibs system is failing because he has one defense essentially that works best for him. And that D needs an elite rim protecting 5. Either get the 5 ASAP or get a different coach.

Switch and play up on the screens instead of drop coverage. Problems solved. It's not any one individual causing our defensive issues. It's the system. Period. End of story.

We have been waiting all season to have a healthy bench and that happened two games ago. We are 1-1 since then. We will have to wait another month to get Mitch back. That's a problem. We need to go get Kessler but, Ainge is the problem. Maybe we can get Richards at least. Trusting Mitch to stay healthy is a tremendous risk. We need someone else to help out.

All of our defensive issues are from injuries and scheme. If Thibs can't figure it out, find someone who can. I didn't even mention how terrible his offense is either because we have the talent on that end. He just runs them into the ground.

tl;dr? Thibs is the problem.

So i was gonna go to the game

However, my car is in the shop until Monday

So I would have to Uber from Lakeland to Orlando to get to the game (my autotype.is crazy, "cat heaven" lol)

It's about $120 altogether to Uber there and back

So I guess I'm not going

This would have been my first Knicks game to see in person live

What about starting Precious instead of Hart and move OG to the 3? That would elongate the bench and we’d still have enough firepower in the starting lineup.

But since JB can't guard the likes of Trae, Maxey, etc., either Hart would have to guard them which wouldn't go well, or start Deuce. Last year I think Donte guarded those quick PGs until Deuce came in.

I agree Mikal is much better guarding wings. I was surprised even when Deuce subbed in vs Atlanta, Mikal guarded Trae and Deuce had Bogdanovic. They should have switched that

Is cat heaven an auto correct typo or an expression I'm not familiar with?

And put Precious in the dunker spot. Thibs would not bring Hart off the bench though. I'd like to see it tried though

My auto correct typos are ridiculous, lol

Cat Heaven is a song by Cliffdiver, that's the only reason I could think of as to why the autocorrect happened

My sources say Mitch has been practicing. I love that nothing leaks anymore. Also Mitch is 25 lbs down.

That’s why i was saying bench hart and Mikal, start deuce and precious. Even when deuce was on the floor this idiot thibs still asked Mikal to guard Trae at the point of attack, when deuce had the bigger Bogdanovic on him. None of this stuff makes sense anymore, we can all see what’s wrong, yet Thibs is a dummy.
