I think people were hoping for some sort of a difference maker, when the draft was just really bad and we only had a 1 in 30 shot of getting a great player at our pick anyway. I like Tidjane's hustle, but he is absolutely never going to be an all-star, and probably not any better than an Isaac Okoro on the low end or Jeff Green on the high end role player. Last season was just a very painful season to endure to only get Tidjane as your prize for enduring it

I like Salaun but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think JT Thor probably could have out performed or at least equally performed Salaun if he was handed the same opportunity. At the same age and archetype

All-star? Do you realize how rare it is to draft one outside the top 3 picks?

Feels like he is showing some flashes of being a strong interior passer. Could be one of those "swing skills" that differentiate him from being another tall shooter later on in his career.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Salaun develops. Stated my opinion here already about the draft; he wasn’t my choice, but we have him, and I’m pulling for our rookie. I think he can be really good IF he gains the strength needed to support his body. Not much natural bounce so he will need to use a combo of size, strength and athleticism to be impactful. Hands aren’t a positive right now, but unless they’re just abnormally small, he could drill to gain some improvement. LOVE his spirit, enthusiasm and dedication. Hard worker, wants to be really good! Has a really good stroke for a young big. Smart on the court beyond his years.

The old adage is that bigs take longer to aquire a full game at the NBA level than guards. Let’s give Salaun the time to mature and grow into it. Maybe he’ll be at minimum a good reserve, or with some great training, even better.
