OKC really isn't a good 3 point shooting team, they have no size, and most of their offense comes from midranges and the rim which we are good at defending. Game plan here should be the same as it was vs. Hawks, do not let them get out in transition

So if your life was on the line and you had to pick the winner, you'd pick the Bucks?

Of course, OKC is beatable. I didn't know that was the question.

Sure, I think the Bucks are a great team and have the best player in the world. What a crazy question, I'm giving my opinion on a Bucks forum not risking my life. Y'all can stop attacking me for thinking the Bucks are gonna win whenever

I thought one of the high points of last season was when the Bucks easily handled the Thunder. Shut down SGA with ease.

The game the Thunder beat us, IIRC, Giannis was out. Bobby had a monster game.

I've seen the numbers the players get by winning or o losing this game. Does the organization get anything financially for winning?

OKC play great defense. Their defense is based on the fact that in modern NBA most teams dont attack with size and strength but with 3s. They defend pick game very well and switch very good. They dont allow easy 3s and easy pick and roll/pop game and that is enough to stop 90% teams in the modern NBA.

Their offense is based on their defense. Fast breaks after good defense including green light on 3s even on fast break. If oponent has set defense they depend on SGA to score or create for others.

We are one of the very few teams that (in theory) can destroy that small ball defense and because of that we can also limit their fast break offense.

If Giannis is focused as he was in 2021 finals (and being from Europe I can promise you that we all see cup as important as championship) we will win.

But, as I said before, this is over. Cup is ours 8-)

The matchup advantage is real here, Brook can cancel out iHart and Bucks should dominate on the boards if they go small.

So do any of the individual stats count as part of regular season stats in this game? If nothing in this game actually counts towards the regular season, it feels like a bit of a freebie to run things that you may only do in practice/pre-season under match simulation conditions. Basically a mid-season practice game under pressure conditions.

Nothing counts
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Let the young guys play. Vets should play soft, not get injured and just chuck 3s. Let the 3p variance decide the winner. It's not important enough to risk injury. Let's see Giannis shoot 10 3p.

Exactly, very beatable and I believe we have a matchup advantage (chet lessens that). Bucks are 12-3 in their last 15 so seems like a good matchup to me

OKC is 9-1 with Hartenstein.

so dumb they haven't figured out a way to make this game meaningful.
make it the first time breaker in the seedings
make it so they automatically get HCA throughout but keep the seeding at the same. (gives a financial advantage as well as a competitive advantage but still keeps seeding important since even with HCA you could face 1-3 seed in R1 if you tank). if other teams complain, tell them to win the cup next year.

People joke about the cup but this should really be a type of game that could be one of the signature moments in the mvp race if giannis goes off in a win
