Just impossible to win a game that way.

We have 3 good offensive players, Banchero and Wagners, that's it.

That’s the reality.

The offense IS bad WITH them. So why haven’t they moved anyone that changes that?

The shooting just isn’t there from top to bottom.

And they go and sign a guy we would expect to help with that. And he completely forgets how to shoot the ball....

Eh... disingenuous post lol, nobody (including Weltman) thinks this is our final team

Well… only a trade will fix this roster at this point with all the contracts that have been signed. We’ll see what they do but I don’t think they’re even close with the ancillary pieces we have.

This roster doesn't need to be "fixed" though. We're down Paolo and Franz for big portions of our season and in 3rd seed. That's 50 points missing right now.

Of course we're not a contending team yet. And even with them, the offense is far from perfect. I just think it's easy to shout for a short-term fix and being like "the issues it'll cause later with PT/rotations/development .. I'm sure Mose/whoever will figure it out" lol

Enough of a sample to say if we stick with these same guys(others) it's going to be first round exit. If waiting until this summer to make moves is the prerogative then it's a first round exit. We Need some others that can put the ball in the basket.... It can't all be about "sitting down and guard" at some point you have to be able to score consistently it can't just be moe Wagner

It was last year. This year with both of them in it, I think we were around 17th or something before Paolo's injury.

That's what people signed up for when wanting TDS/Jett/AB in the lineup though. Young players are simply inefficient. KCP has been bad offensively, but I don't think he goes from 8 years of good shooting to "this is the new him".

Yeah, I’m good with young guys getting their minutes to prove themselves. Can’t say anyone has really though. We are getting nothing from them and they have the opportunity. TDS maybe tonight a little bit.

Really no excuse for them.

The ball is moving tonight at least. It’s just poor shooting.

A lot of this is simply preference of styles. For all the complaining of Adam Silver's NBA, people act like an elite defense and below average-bad offense is a 1st round exit while if we suddenly turned into the Pacers, people would complain about our defense being bad.

If you start shipping out the guys that make you good at defense, suddenly that defense maybe becomes 10th-15th best and unless the return offense makes you top 7 in the league, you will probably have the same record as a team that has top 2 defense and, let's say sticking around where we were earlier in the year, 15th-20th sort of offense.

It's not fun watching teams brick threes, but also not fun seeing a team be awful at defense.

TDS strikes me as pretty cocky. He's scoring off Suggs' assists and then starts feeling himself and starts chucking. Really annoying.

I don't need the others to be something they're not.... But I do expect them to be professionals... Professionals hit open shots

If we had Paolo and Franz back and the offense had as much lulls as it did last year, then I'd be like "Okay, let's consolidate, overreact, trade x y z, etc." But we've not been afforded those games outside of the first 5, where we should've went 4-1 if not for Paolo's injury.

Otherwise, it's pretty obvious that a team that is still so young and keeping those prospects in the rotation to some degree aren't going to have the best offense, and that ALL of it will look very up and down when Franz and Paolo are out.

It's why teams like the Rockets have pretty much the same exact issues, and that's without losing their main guys for so long. A bunch of young talented guys who are more talented at defense struggle on offense.

KCP is worthless if he isn't hitting his shots. We don't need his defense.

Return to Orlando Magic
