Cowboys @ Panthers

Post#1 » by Mr B » Sun Dec 15, 2024 6:11 pm

Alright since we need to post in here a little more I’ll start a thread.

Looks like the Cowboys have shifted their OL again. Brock Hoffman getting the start at Center. Next season I’d like to see them try Cooper Beebe at LG and Hoffman at Center. I really like the way Hoffman has developed.

Also a 1-2 punch of Dowdle/Jeanty would be really fun to watch.

Young fumbles because of great play by the rookie LB. Cowboys recover.

Pretty much a dud of a game so far. Still like what Brock Hoffman is doing though.

CeeDee Lamb may not be the best WR in the NFL but he ain’t far off.

Marist Liufau looks like he’s turning into a player.

Ok, Cowboys have ANOTHER chance to really put this game away. Will they take advantage this time?

And with a makeshift offensive line…

Damn good win.

I’d love to see them pair him with another back from the draft. The Cowboys have had success with the 2 back system before and when you look at teams like Detroit using two RB’s it would make sense.

Also Rico started running better once Brock Hoffman was put into the starting lineup. He was playing really well at guard and except for 1 hold he played well today. I’d like to see them run Beebe out at LG and Hoffman at Center.

Of course - the question is going to be how much do they want to pay him?

I do like that he is forcing them to make that decision. And I agree - a young set of legs and a 2 back concept would be a good way to move forward.

Well they’ve already told us that they will not be big spenders in free agency and that includes their own players (according to Stephen). Unless Rico takes a very team friendly contract I think they let him walk. With that said I don’t really think he’ll be any big offers. Talent wise
I wouldn’t put him in the top tier of RB’s and I honestly don’t think he’s even as good as Pollard was. Hopefully Stephen doesn’t low ball him too much.

It's him and Chase basically A&B

Chase is just in a much better situation and CeeDee is injured.

We need to resign Dowdle. This team really sucks at Free Agency. We don't want to waste a draft pick searching for a RB. Dowdle is proven to be a solid runner, just give the guy a 3 year deal and we are set there minus some cheap depth.

Most would still take Justin Jefferson over CeeDee too. But like I said, he may not the absolute best but he isn’t far off.

It’s all going to depend on what other offers he gets. If he makes it through the first wave (or two waves) of free agent signings then I think the Cowboys will bring him back. If he gets an offer for more than $3M a season I think they let him walk. They’d rather the 5th round comp pick in 2026.

Also do not be surprised if they trade Micah for picks. I think they seriously regret paying Dak and Diggs and feel they will be making the same mistake with Micah. Stephen is of the belief that they are better off with less than great talent at every position instead of having (and paying) 1 or 2 great players.

With that said I seriously think they are considering bringing back Mike McCarthy.

I'm really torn now on Parsons. I'm starting to think they just need to pay him. He is just so dominate sometimes.

I'll be really upset if they bring back McCarthy and I do not think that is what is going to happen. Even if Jerry says he is considering it, I don't think he is.
