List of the wings that make less than $14 million, that wouldn’t cost anything insane, not on a contending team, and fit a need for what we need(reserve minutes):

PDX: Banton (2.1), Camara (1.8)
Utah: Clarkson (14.0)
SAC: Lyles (8.0)
CHA: Martin (8.1)

Not a great list of options, but hoping someone else can find something (somebody on here or Leon).

You wanna trade Mitch for Clarkson? That's the only way that works. No.

Banton/Camara? Are they any good?

We need rim protection. What can you come up with Besides Kessler/Richards who we have talking about all season?

I’d love Camara but I doubt Portland moves him. He looks like the next Herb Jones.

1) To make the salary work in almost any trade, we need to trade Mitch (14M), Deuce (5M) or Precious (6M).

2) Our assets (not counting Deuce) have small value. We can only get players that their teams want to get rid of. I would be surprised if we get valuable rookie contract players like Kessler and Camara.

3) We need bigger guys for our bench if we keep Deuce and Cam. It does not make sense to go after guards like Clarkson and Banton.

The most realistic deal right now seems to be a play for Richards using Precious and Sims and sweeteners. I wonder when the Hornets throw the towel in completely?

Adams for Mitch would be nice, but I don't expect HOU to rock the boat right now. Herb Jones for Mitch and sweeteners would be great too but looks like NOP will hold onto Herb for now. I'm sure there's some guy out there that we're not even thinking about that Leon and co. have on their radar...

we can still trade Payne and add Smith Jr in February for the remainder of the season to not exceed the 2nd apron

Mitch, Payne and 1-2 picks for Kessler and Sexton

Sims and Dadiet and 2nd rounders for Herb Jones

sign Dennis Smith Jr, TJ Warren, Shamet and another one off the waiver

Kessler / Achiuwa / Hukporti
Towns / Hart / TJ Warren
Anunoby / Jones / veteran / McCullar
Bridges / McBride / Shamet
Brunson / Sexton / Smith Jr / Kolek

More durability, better offensive player, comparable defensive/rebounding player. Older, sure, but availability is the better than what ifs.

When you can trade a 26 year old injury prone center who can't really switch on defense or do anything offensively for a 31 year old injury prone Center who can't really switch on defense or do anything offensively you just have to do it

sexton + kessler make 21.2
mitch and payne make 16.4
not possible, plus what picks are you trading and that jazz would want.

sims and dadiet make like 3 mil, how are you proposing a trade for herb that makes 13 mil (plus roster backfill another 2 mil). 3 mil for 15 mil essentially. its not trade legal and especially not in knicks sitiuation.
plus again they will want much more than 2nds.

I honestly can't think of a single trade the Knicks can make that makes sense fit or finance wise

then clarkson, he makes less

I knew 3M for Jones, my bad... than Mitch for Jones... Sims/Huk and Dadiet/Kolek plus 2 picks for Kessler

Sign Shamet, Warren, McCullar...

Kessler / Achiuwa / Huk
Towns / Hart/ TJ Warren
Anunoby / Jones / McCullar
Bridges / McBride / Shamet
Brunson / Payne / Kolek

or either Hart, Achi or Deuce in the Starting lineup depending on matchups

i keep coming back to what is the sweetner for jazz to trade kessler or the pelicans to trade Jones
knicks have 10 seconds to trade thats it (that WAS 1st is 2 seconds essentially)

At least realistic trades. I don't see us having enough for Kessler.

Adding Nick Richards for depth behind Mitch could work.

We don’t have any meaningful picks to trade. Our only avenues of improving in the foreseeable future will be trading players for players with no picks, drafting (from our pick swaps with BKN), and signing guys on vet minimum deals (Shamet, Warren, etc).

Could Patrick Williams be available for Mitch/Dadiet and filler ? / picks That would address the backup F position long term as well.

I guess we’d have to have full confidence in Precious as backup 5/Huk or Sims(unless he’s in trade)

Def passing on Patrick Williams. Probably the worst contract in the league and bulls fans hate him

Duren for McBride? Shamet gets McBride’s spot when he comes back.
