I think it makes sense to revisit these talks. According to Shams, Robinson isn't slated to return until February at the earliest. It seems dubious to pencil him in as a playoff caliber rotation player with the nature of his injury and the length of his absence. The Knicks desperately need rebounding, rim protection, and general size and Kessler might be the best option on the market. He's young, on an inexpensive contract, and can be coached up by Thibs to provide some of the impact that was lost by Hartenstein's departure.

The Jazz get two first rounders for a player that they've been shopping for quite awhile. Clears the way for Filipowski to start at center.

Reasonable value but I think New York is good enough those picks are both likely late. I'd rather keep Kessler. Our team has very few players worth keeping, but he is one. Also, all the noise is that we are not shopping Kessler after his start to the season. Could be wrong, it is Ainge, but I don't think we'd move him unless the return was unreasonable.

Where is NY using two 1sts to upgrade their backup centers. The 15-20 minute role is simply not worth it. I think MRob will have plenty of time to prepare for his backup role.
