OG is struggling offensively over the last 9 games (23.6% from three on 6.1 3pa/g), but he has accumulated 18 blocks and 15 steals during the same stretch so it's all good

the thing with thibs is that once u gain his trust, he lets u freelance.


OG basically does whatever he wants on defense, especially when he decides to help. notice how thibs never gets angry when og over helps from the corner 3 spot.

same thing with hart, who constantly over helps and when he has to fly back out and recover he gets attacked off the dribble. thibs never gets angry


thats kinda what a lot of fans only see when they say "hart has been bad on defense this year"


its really him just over-helping constantly and sometimes being in a really bad position when he has to fly back out to his man. but thibs understands u cant over manage or micro manage his players like that. and you have to understand that even when hart produces the bad defensive play, he still has many positive plays that offset it.

When the players are running a stupid defensive scheme and get caught out of position, they are doing what Thibs wants them to do. When people don't realize this they blame he players because they clearly don't understand what they are watching. In a league where the three ball is the dominant offensive play, Thibs wants the paint protected at all costs. He's a moron. It only works with a certain lineup. He does not have that lineup. Learn to adjust! Orc faced moron!

I tried trading for Jimmy Butler without trading Brunson, Towns, Bridges, and OG

It can be done but it's next to impossible and not worth it. Basically would have to send over our entire remaining roster.

Josh Hart might be too ingrained in our team's DNA to trade him. He's like our Draymond Green.

Ever since he dropped that 40 piece he has been struggling on offense. Mikal has been coming on during that stretch. OGs impact is on the defense anyway so, whatever he adds offensively is gravy. I am sure he will be fine though. Players go through slumps.

Someone got a wake up call.

Mikal is not a bad defender the issue is against the really elite attacking PG's like Kyrie, Trae, Ja or Donovan he can't expect to keep up, damn near no one can and that is what drop defense is designed for.

I am happy to see this effort, but remember it when he gets lit up sometimes, you can't do this type of defense against everyone. We match up well with the Magic due to getting bigger at the wing.

KAT at the 5 is not the problem on defense. The scheme is. He's got the best D-rtg on the team btw. Followed by Hart and then OG. We can play Mitch next to him for stretches too because we shoot 40% from 3. KAT doesn't need to operate in paint. He will stretch the floor.

Previous years we had the most inefficient shooters around him so him being in the paint was a problem. Randle and RJ sucked the life out of our offense and they both sucked on defense.

We need an insurance policy for Mitch and a wing Thibs will trust. Then we work them in and we should be fine.
