I got a lot of crap all year about us not having a bench. What's the big deal? THIS is the big deal! People get their balls busted for being minutes police. Here's the damn problem we all have! Thibs is a maniac!!
I anxiously await a FULL bench and healthy starting 5 to see exactly what we are as a team. No excuses for how Thibs runs the players into the ground but, just get everyone healthy at the same time and let's rock!

How many times do we see people not understanding the one liners buzz and others post? It's very common. People who have been posting here for years can't tell some of the time. New posters have no clue. There is no inflection in typed words. There is no way of telling if someone is joking or serious until you respond and get a response back. Is it really that difficult to just use green font instead of forcing people to figure it out? It should be enforced as a rule. Cut out the wasted time and the aggression and aggravation it causes at times.
The spam trolling is also annoying because it just consumes the threads and you are left having to sift through the BS to find the topic of conversation you clicked on. CapnO made a wise but somewhat short-sighted decision to push the Randle BS to the around the NBA thread. Now there are entire pages of that thread devoted to the back and forth about a bum we traded for a major upgrade. Where does it end? Jokes are fine but, if you don't know it's a joke it isn't very funny is it? If the joke keeps going on and on and on it it is spam after a while. Quite often it causes friction. People are getting suspended because of it who are not the ones who started it and never stop doing it either.
I don't know man, it's 2024. This format is a dying breed and when it becomes unbearable maybe something should be done to keep it from killing the objective of this site. Which is to discuss the Knicks/teams and the game of basketball. It's not a comedy site. Maybe we should figure out a way to tell jokes without confusing some people or ruining the threads. Take that spam stuff to PMs of you need to run it into the ground and use green font. Some of us like to actually discuss the team without having to sift through the BS. Some of the time it is funny but, often it is aggravating. I know I am not even close to the only person who feels this way.

It can be done but it's next to impossible and not worth it. Basically would have to send over our entire remaining roster.
Josh Hart might be too ingrained in our team's DNA to trade him. He's like our Draymond Green.
I wouldn't trade Hart for Jimmy Butler.
Frankly outside of maybe acquiring another wing for low cost, I don't see any huge moves being made with Mitch and Shamet on the way back.

i see the self awarewolves are out this morning. ok. cool.
the mod team receives messages on a too regular basis about the decreased usability of this forum because of the incessant trolling, dunk attempts, and general bad faith conversation. and i'm sure for every one of those kinds of messages we get, several members just lose interest and stop participating. this is not the culture or the forum we want.
i think it's safe to say the NYK RGM mod team has provided easily the most laissez-faire forum environment on RealGM. but this has been the result.
some of you lob troll grenades. some of you post unhinged vitriolic rants several times per day. all of it takes away from the quality of the forum.
the split on talking ball, joking, and trolling has gone too far into a trolling ouroburos. and the participants will always just point the finger. at this point, the mod team is not interested in finding patient zero for trolling or some of your perceptions on who needs to "take jokes better." the inside jokes among members we know are kidding each other is one thing. the posts that are clearly meant to get a rise out of whoever broadly are another. it's childish and we've done better.
the trolling playbook of casting stones and hiding behind "jokes" needs to stop.
lastly, aggo is not a martyr. the playbook of using them (and other banned posters) to prop up a culture and posting approach we are trying to moderate feels in bad faith. yes, aggo will be gone for a while. and, to be real, a break might not be the worst thing in the world for some others. for those who don't get the hint, we can and will help.
a few of you are backseat moderating right now, and despite what may be good intentions, i assure it's not helpful. i ask that you stop that as well.

It’s seriously not that deep that you’re making it out to be and youre just proving our points. Can only speak from my interactions with the people I talk to here, that’s just how we feel. saying anyone is trying to make aggo a martyr is a wild statement and quite the reach. He knows he shouldn’t have posted that, im not defending his actions. I just know what his intentions was with that when he quoted me specifically. I didn’t engage in it though cause I knew what the consequences would be.
Anyways I’ll just say the self awareness goes both ways and I’ll leave it as that. I’m not tryna go in a back and forth with you before you say I’m trying to back seat moderate. No, you guys do your job and I respect it. Feel free to dm me if you want to talk further.

It's inexcusable coaching.
People who celebrate this type of reckless coaching actually want to see the team break down and fail.

Agree and well said. The trolling is just way too rampant. The same things get repeated a million times in every thread.

I rarely watch the post game interviews.
Do these reporters actually ask Thibs about starters' minutes and using the bench?
I'm genuinely curious as to what his reasoning is.
As we've already experienced, it's better to go into the playoffs fully healthy with a lower seed than going in with a higher seed and several starters injured from overuse.

The minutes police thing is a fun running gag that i like, but behind that is serious anxiety because Thibs is overleveraging the starters. It's not a joke. He is running the core players outside of Deuce and Brunson into the ground. I am especially concerned about OG and KAT. They need to have their minutes reduced or managed better. No one should be playing guys 20 straight minutes, that's mental illness.
We need these guys in April to be healthy. Nothing else matters except for April and beyond.
Does Thibs understand this????
