Re: GameDay thread
1) The play calling as a whole was bad. Charbonnet had just 8 carries.
I didn't like the defensive strategy. But at least Mike made adjustments at the half. Bad all around.
2) Howell is a disaster.
3) I'm done with Woolen. Ship his ass off & let some other team deal with him.

I agree on all parts... I hope woolen has some buzz value still because he's got no heart and I'd love to upgrade the line any way possible in the offseason.

Woolen is a low IQ player.
Yes, he's an athletic freak & does play well at times. But he has too many negative plays. Due to either bad technique, being out of position or just being lazy. He doesn't have that "dawg" mentality that the great ones have. I think you have to move on.
I would add that Ryan Grubb will not be brought back imho. Same goes with Scott Huff. This offense looks & operates too much like a spread college offense. It's been a failure. I think you really have no choice but to cut bait.
Yes, the O-line play has been poor all season. But the play calling has not done them any favors. They hardly use play action or have Geno lineup under Center. Everything is in shotgun. Not having a balanced run game has made them too predictable at times for opponents. It's just bad all around. I think Mike see's the writing on the wall as well.

I think if Grubb was a player Mike would have waived him already. Huff is frustrating because we had our O-line guy last year.

The rumor is that they wanted to hire Arthur Smith, but he took the Pittsburgh job before they could bring him in. Mike was hired so late in the process that they didn't have a ton of great options to choose from.
You need to hire an experienced OL coach with a good track record.
