Is Nico Batum a guy Dallas could get with any of the guys mentioned above?

Nico Batum would not be worth a FRP unless some albatross contract is going out. Some may consider Maxi that. I don't think the deal is big enough to warrant that.

No argument form me that Batum has more value than a guy like Exum, but a FRP is just way over the top.

they dont own their pick this year and will need extra incentive to make their team worse (they were already lacking depth at 4/5 as it stands)

I mean the issue is why are they trading him? They aren't. Unless a team does something silly like trade their 1st round pick.

He's just not a possibility with the Clippers competitive. They shouldn't take the Philly 2nd and Dallas shouldn't pay more. And shouldn't be attaching 1sts to dump Kleber, period despite that being a common theme on the board lately for some reason.

He definitely isn't. But that's what it'll cost to move Batum this year. Or a ridiculous upgrade. Obviously, no team should make that decision.

Think Dallas should throw a second to get another former Clipper in Diabete though. Or give a retread like Jonathon Motley or Jordan Bell a chance to see if they have anything left until buy out season. Or a Robert Covington.
