Bucks seem to be figuring it out. Another annoying obstacle :banghead:

Nah, we good. Giannis can be stopped by building the wall, and Dame doesn't live up to his reputations past the first round of the playoffs. The rest of their roster is beyond washed.

Believe it or not, Phily is still more dangerous than the Bucks. Which is like 1% danger compared to 0 %, but still needs to be mentioned.

It was posted on on Nets Instagram that long time super fan, Bruce Reznick a/k/a "Mr. Whammy" has decided to leave the team and will root for either OKC or Cleveland. Nets fans can mourn not only the loss of one of the smartest and most loyal fans in team history but also the loss of integrity and direction from ownership.

Joe Tsai did not comment on this, but he may have been just too busy studying how to support the genocide in western China. Statements from his wife disparaging Mr. Whammy are legion and though to have played a significant part in this decision.

Dude i thought this was going to be a death announcement :( whew.

Mr. Reznik was mistreated by that organization just as they did to many former New Jersey fans who have since left.

Let them rot. They are finished in this region

Sorry, I thought I made it clear it was only sad for Nets fans, if there are any. This man is personally training Kendrick Perkins' son, Kenxton, and doing a great job of it. He offered to mentor Ryan Arcidiaccono, but that guy is a flake and refused -- his basketball IQ, as low as it is, is still higher than his mental IQ.

They mistreated Whammy more than most fans by specifically insulting him by denying him access to events he should have been included in. Anyway, maybe this is actually RIP Nets. Unless they can rise from the dead, they're cooked. Fini! Done!

I should also mention that my friend who gave up his season's tickets over a year ago has now decided not to even follow their games at all and is totally a Knicks fan. So I may be losing my source of inside info about them, unless he hears more on Perkins' podcast or he keeps up his phone relationship with their ticket agent. LOL

I don't wanna rehash this because I've moved on, but I'm not surprised that your friend left. He's not the only one.

The Liberty have a larger, more exuberant fanbase than the Nets. It sickens me that the Tsai family owns them. But for the sake of the players, Sabrina, Betnijah, Stewie, etc, I hold my nose. Because I've never been more prouder to root for them.

We do have the size and talent, you're right.

I don't fear Philly.

We have a KAT.

I think you really underestimate iHart's value to what we did last year. Again, of players who played substantial minutes he was 1st in WS/48 and second in WS and BPM. He was one of our best players. This year, he's made the Thunder better (net on/off shows this, and the baseline was already incredible for the Thunder) with just him coming back AND Holmgren going down. This bears repeating. He replaced an all star level player for the Thunder and they haven't missed a beat. We would have had to have moved Randle for a replacement of similar value. Maybe not 1 for 1 but it wasn't happening with Donte or Deuce alone, for example. And if you move Randle you're not running it back. There was no running it back without iHart.

I was pretty keen on that route myself over the summer and I think our one chance to strike on an undervalued player for the C spot was Goga but we didn't seem to be interested. Now he's out there smokin' it for the Magic and even they don't seem to realize what they have. We poked around on Richards/Kessler and our opponents weren't interested in our potpourri offers. Especially with Kessler, and he doesn't provide the passing that iHart does. It would have been a bootleg version and I'm not fully convinced he's that much better than what Mitch will ultimately provide, health willing. Then guys like Capela but that involves a bigger sort of deal and **** trading Randle for that guy. That all being said, I take iHart over all of those guys for the myriad of ways he helps an offense.

On top of that - January was great but teams eventually get scooped. That team had great chemistry but wasn't talented enough to keep up that kind of pace.

We need another big and maybe it's Mitch and maybe it isn't. As I've been saying in the T&T thread, I think Sharpe could provide a watered down version of what iHart gave us but that contract we gave iHart was a coup and you can't always find that. He's really good.

I haven't kept up with Sharpe, but he's got great size and can board. Not sure if he'd be a replacement for Mitch tho if he's traded.

Nets should relocate to Seattle

They should. They need to get the f*ck out of this area, but with Barclay's in play i doubt they go anywhere.

When I saw that Kenny Atkinson's Cavs blew them off the floor last night, I smiled. Because it's what they deserve for what they did to that man.

If there was any other person I'd want coaching the Knicks, it's Kenny. That's how highly I think ot him. So for him to get revenge last night, it felt good.

Karma is a thorough bitch. And she's often cruel.

I follow him for BAF. He's been hitting threes and making some nifty passes and stuff. He's passable on the defense but I don't gather he's the answer there. But who knows. Thibs is great with bigs and I think he does some things Thibs would like to work with.

He did show flashes of having a three point shot from when I last saw him. Ideally it would be nice to have another big that can at least knock down an open 3 here and there.

Looks like he's been injured based on his basketballreference page. He had 15 last night versus the Cavs

Most efficient volume scorers (450+ PTS). Towns as efficient as Jokic. Career season by Vucevic.

Randle? Championship contender?

The Wolves have gone from contender and one of the final four teams, to the back end of the losers final four which is known as the play in. That is the Randle difference.

Must be nice being the best defensive team in the league for the past couple of weeks! It was fun when we had that January but now we’re the Sacramento kings. Oh well!

Breen is great of course. But does he really have to pronounce it HartenSHtein? Even if that's the right German way to say it, HartenStein without the SH would be fine.

It is losing some luster because of all the damn changes/gimmicks they keep making. The officiating has been wildly inconsistent because they went from physical defense back in the day to star treatment to allowing the foul baiting to no longer allowing it to letring them play more physical again but, not being consistent. I think the gambling has been an issue as well. Spamming the 3 has been an issue Silver is a terrible commissioner.

This matchup of two small market teams being on a neutral court really isn't paying off either. If this was NY/Lakers or something like that, I imagine it would be more crowded. Hard to say but, it's also poor timing. Christmas season. No one has time or money to spend going to Vegas just to see this game. Not with these small market teams being the ticket probably has a lot to do with it. Their fan bases probably don't travel well.

I don't know why they thought Vegas would be a good place to hold an event for teams not from Vegas.
