With the Brewers being good I haven't paid much attention to the MLB draft lottery, but holy **** does it screw teams over because of the bonus pool.

Can you explain a little more? Do you mean the differences in bonus pool amounts from the #1, to #2 to #3 picks?

It's Nightengale so not sure how reliable but he lists the 5 finalists for Crochet and didn't list the Brewers so maybe the Brewers weren't that close after all

My guess is they made a real offer but multiple other teams did too.

If you like a guy you might as well make an offer even if that offer is just some prospects that maybe you don't value as much as they are valued on the various ranking lists.

SP Hayden Wesneski also went over. Huge package and could be a disaster if Tucker walks at the end of 2025.

Think I saw Bryce Wilson went to the White Sox as well. I always felt he did a solid job, but certainly get moving on too.

Milner was a good Brewer but struggled more last year. We’ll see if he bounces back.

I missed this over the holidays, but Joe Ross signed with the Phillies on a 1Y 4M deal. I thought he was a good pickup for the Crew but kinda figured he would not return.
