Thanks for this. I liked JJs OM&T3 so I was curious, but always found the LeBron Lakes such a snooze to watch. Thats some ugly defense.

Where were the openings?

Brooklyn locked down their coach before Ham was fired

Cleveland chose Kenny Atkinson rightfully.

Did Ham really want to coach that god awful Wizards team?

Ham was never offered or even interviewed for the Wiz HC position or any other HC position this past offseason. If he's as good as you claim, teams would be firing their current HC and fighting over to hire him, no?

Hmm you seem to think you know my thoughts better than me.

Go ahead, quote exactly where I say how good he is.

He knew what he got himself into and he made millions from nit. The only apology needed is from Jeanie for catering to lebron.

it's the busses who fired his @**

all those FO's who said "this ain't working out, it's ham's fault. he's easier to fire"

i'm sure there was a player or two who had FO's ear as well

Ham expired as a Lakers coach. He had to go. He lost the Lockeroom. Simple.

Ham can kiss my ass. But we did make the WCF and if we had anyone but DLO against Nugs hell we might have made it a little more respectable.

DLO should have been gone before Ham thats all i know. But Ham needed to go regardless. I did love how he torched DLO on his way out though lol.

I agree with Ham. He was doing a good job. If they were gonna replace it should have been with a top tier coach.

Ham was railroaded, but coaches are always the first to be blamed. Problem with the Lakers is that they keep blaming the coach (Vogel first then Ham) where most teams would understand the team is not good enough when the 2nd coach couldnt get it done.

Darvin Ham was not doing a good job, and it's sad to see people try to be revisionists. JJ Redick could be the worst coach in the history of the NBA, and that still does not mean that Ham was unjustly fired or was a good coach, which he was not.

Funny how its all the non-Laker fans saying Ham didn't deserve to be fired while never pointing to anything specific that he did well. Meanwhile Laker fans are unified in being glad he's gone.

Ham is a terrible coach on the court and in planning for games.

He was good at motivating the team.
He was an average broad strategist.

No one should hire this guy but it sounds like there is a taste for him, so I hope he does become a head coach of another team

Lakers fan, Ham was a good coach. He was good at making defensive adjustments and the results didn't justify getting fired. After watching the discourse this year, I'm convinced most Lakers fans have 0 understanding of defensive concepts and schematic choices.

Hearing people complaining about drop coverage and wanting him to place a band-aid on the situation (Starting DLO and AR) were just silly. First was ridic and the second was a short-term fix that would never compete for a championship or put them on the right path.

DLo was a traffic cone that series.

One of the most difficult things to watch in all my history as a lakers fan.

I think coaches who can't find a consistent rotation after 82 games always deserve to be fired and Ham fit that profile

All of Lebron’s seem to have one thing in common. They’re always “idiots, stupid, incompetent, basketball terrorists, etc..” w they get fired.

The only coach Lebron wasn’t able to do this to was Erik Spoelstra.
