The nba is dying Mdb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GA I've been saying it.

Outside of the Knicks I just don't really care. I'm only watching this because of Hartenstein and Isiah Joe who is on my BaF squad.

I'm waiting patiently for the WNBA to begin. I enjoy the variety of basketball styles as opposed to the NBAs constant 3 point heaving contests.

The 90s and 00s to me was the peak of the league. Teams had their own identities and methodology. Now everyone wants to spam threes.

The Knicks have a good mix of play styles which I like. Brunson is incredible to watch.

Yup. They are going to have to tweak things to get more versatility back into offenses. And they need to realize New York (or LA) need to be good for the general public to be interested.

I dont expect special treatment, but I do expect them to stop effing with us on the court and with there overly restrictive rules that dont allow us to retain talent like Hartenstien.

IHart can’t guard tough centers, he always gets lit up when a game gets physical in the post, he rebounds, he plays offense, but his defense in the post is a liability, especially when there’s no OG on the weak side help to save you

Bucks might indeed be well equipped to beat a team that might come out West. Problem for them is getting out of the East.

The key to beating the bucks is pulling Giannis out the paint on defense, thats where KAT is vital

No. He only took a two year deal because he was betting himself to get paid. It worked for him. That's how it all went down!! He's a greedy bum!! :o

Well, then good for him. I can’t begrudge him. We’ll find someone. Mitch is coming back soon to split most of the time at center. We’ll benefit from his defense greatly, if he can stay on the court.

I remember Bill Cartwright suffering a couple of foot fractures that required pins and screws while he was with the Knicks and then we trade him to the Bulls for Oakley. Bill didn’t have any further problems with his his feet as I recall.

FTR...I don't know if we offered him the third year or not but, it makes sense we tried so we could have his rights. It also makes sense he turned it down to get paid. Just let me have this!

Either way, my petty feelings will not change. His greed is why he left!! I love him as a player but, I do NOT wish him well in the future!! PETTY!! IDGAF! He would put us over the top and we would still have that identity we loved from last year. Coming out of the gate with more chemistry and continuity as well.

Brunson/Payne
Mikal
/Deuce
OG/Hart
KAT/Precious
Shart/Mitch

That would be a HUGE improvement over last January and the entire season!!! Championship level team!! He destroyed all of that for what? An additional 12.5 mil per? Greedy bastard would have been a LEGEND winning a title here!!! I HATE HIM FOREVER!!!

Im more pissed at the NBA and Silver. Celtics were allowed to fleece teams and then all of a sudden we aren't allowed to outbid OKC for Ihart? NBA is still a status quo league and that's why they are losing tons of viewers. Let it all burn!

It's a ratings gimmick. Bring NBA interest to Vegas in case they want to expand there? Apparently no one gives a shyt looking at the crowd. As starved for a title as we are, and I wanted us to win this stupid cup, IDGAF about this sham now. It does add a little excitement to the qualifying games though but, in the end it is a cheesey gimmick that really won't matter to anyone ever. Oh look, we won an extra regular season game! Imagine losing a player to major injury in that extra game. FOH. The eye bleeding courts are another horrible side effect of this stupid gimmick.

How they gonna get Fox? With who? And what makes you think Sac is willing to trade him to another Western Conference team?

Are these the same analytical skills you use for crypto?

Seems to me like there is more parity at the top than usual. For many years you could basically predict the finals before the season even started. This season that's doesn't seem to be the case. The league is starting to feel more wide open than years past.

CLE/BOS/OKC seem to be the best teams in the league according to NET RTG and continuity. No one else is that dominant. The West is a logjam with only 4.5 games separating 2-12. The East is not as close but, 2.5 games separate 3-7.

I like our chances this year seeing how we are playing as a brand new team. We have to build chemistry and stay healthy and the sky is the limit.

Plenty of season to go still. 56 games until the playoffs. LFGK!!

I get what you're saying, but I have to see parity in the playoffs before I believe that it actually exists in the NBA. The last time we had parity in the NBA was 5 decades ago.

The NBA regular season always looks like a crapshoot until we get to the postseason. And it's the same 2 or 3
teams in the finals.

Just look at the last 5 NBA finals:

Miami Heat: 2 finals appearances
Boston Celtics: 2 finals appearances

Before 2021, if your team did not have Curry or Lebron on it your chances of going to the finals were very slim.

Yes, you have the occassional Milwaukee vs Phoenix finals, but at the end of the day the NBA knows exactly who they want to contend. And it would not surprise me one bit if either the Celtics, Heat, Lakers, Warriors or Mavericks are in the finals in 2025.

There's 20 teams that make the playoffs now. Obviously the parity is not that widespread. As of right now there are 10 teams in the West withing striking distance(4.5 GB) of the 2 seed, that's parity. The cream will rise to the top but, the fact that there is there is no clear cut finals teams yet is pretty cool. We could assume CLE/BOS/OKC should be in the mix but, no one is an absolute. A couple of years ago it was nothing like this.

It is early and I expect this to thin out some but, for YEARS you could almost guarantee the teams that made the finals.

From 1999-2013 it was a lock that the Lakers or Spurs were gonna be in the finals usually.
2010-2021 it was LeBron superteams and/or GSW.

LeBron superteams went to 8 out of ten finals in that span. They had four straight Finals with CLE vs GSW and then TOR beat GSW. It was so easy to pick who was most likely gonna be in the finals it was hardly worth watching the season/playoffs.

It's not like that recently. The last four years 7 different teams made the Finals with only BOS making it twice. Hopefully it stays like this. I think with the massive influx of foreign born players it has watered down the ability for a team to dominate the landscape like that now. When you make the playoffs the last four years, it's as much about luck of the draw and injury luck as it is overall talent. Not saying a team can't repeat a few times but, it was a lot different the previous 25 years. Prior to that we had the Jordan years with the HOU repeat in the middle. Knicks made it twice in 94-99!!! Woohoo!

No one is a lock right now. That's for sure. We have just as much a chance as any of the other top teams. Which is the best part of all of this!!

As a Euro I don't have a problem when Americans mispronounce the names because my expectations are usually very low for that type of thing, but when they do pronounce it correctly it's nice. Glad they stopped pronouncing Luka and Nikola as Donkick and Jokick.
