He might be poorly informed on the roadblocks. Suns are 2nd apron team so they can't aggregate salaries in a trade. So if we move Butler we gotta eat Beal's 3 year deal. The most Suns can sweeten the deal by is a 2026 pick which 3 other teams have the right to swap, so not a good pick. And 2031 which might be a good pick. That's not enough to take that salary. I dont see a deal as viable at all. At that point, just give Butler a 3 year extension. Bradley Beal salary handicaps you from doing anything meaningful till its an expiring.

Mia passed on an opportunity to get Beal at a cheaper price already because they had reservations about his contract.

Makes no sense that they would now trade Jimmy for him especially in light of Herros ascension

Phoenix aint trading Booker so the only player that makes any sense would be KD

I’m not holding my breath

Suns can eat a fat one. They literally have nothing appealing outside of KD and Book. No good young prospects, no picks, and no expirings. I get they are a desperate buyer because they are now on the KD timeline, but that doesn't make their assets any more appealing.

I'd rather just extend Jimmy for another 2/3 years and see him through then take on the remaining 2/3 years of Beal's deal.

Miami doesn't have to do a trade with just Phoenix, they could send Beal to a 3rd team that he's ok with and that needs shooting.

Man, just saw Gabe Vincent’s stats for the year. Yikes. Thank Christ we learned our lesson finally before paying that dude.

or maybe he just played with greater confidence under Spo. Coaching might explain why former Heat players like Nunn and Vincent didn’t thrive with the Lakers. I’m confident Gabe would have fulfilled his role better here than he has with the Lakers

They both ran into health issues and of course a coach that treats them as his pet and lets them play big minutes in a guard and wing heavy rotation that doesn't hardly know what a big is will improve their game to game production. Spo played Vincent and Lowry duo PG lineups often in the playoffs...he's legit that crazy.

It could be the system. The Lakers play through LeBron, so teammates mostly stand around waiting for a pass.

Here, everyone stays involved because they all touch the ball each possession.

Their fans and media are acting like some of our fans and local media when Lillard was supposed to be guaranteed to come here. You can also throw Durant in there as well. Shams did his job getting the frenzy going.

That’s severely limited due to the no trade clause. Why would he want to leave his current situation for anything other then a chip team? Stat pad? Give me a break he’s already paid

To be fair Dame would be here if everyone didn’t want to get petty and emotional. That’s a bad look for Portland who is surely regretting that decision now

Denver seems to want to make a big splash, whether it’s an all star player like Lavine or Ingram or a package of high level role players like Cam and DFS. Surprised we haven’t heard of them trying to get in on Jimmy.

Barry thinks the Warriors are the most realistic trade option for Jimmy, if we keep Jimmy doesn’t think there will be a market for Rozier or Duncan so we won’t be making any upgrades. RUN IT BACK PART 5!!!
