Warriors Considered Expanding Trade With Nets To Include Cam Johnson

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Dec 15, 2024 9:12 pm

The Golden State Warriors trade to acquire Dennis Schroder could have been an even bigger deal. The Warriors and Brooklyn Nets discussed potential variations that would have seen Cam Johnson also head from Brooklyn to Golden State.

The Warriors would likely have had to include Jonathan Kuminga in a deal that returned Johnson. Golden State chose to make a simpler trade that brought back Schroder for now, while continuing to give them time to evaluate Kuminga. The young forward has recently put together a string of good games for Golden State.

Yeah but is he better than 99% of all basketball players in the NBA? That’s what matters.

So only the top 1% of the top 1% matters? Okay

So what? That criteria fits all the G-leaguers as well.

The Warriors should stop treating their rotational players like the second coming of Stephon Curry. Its delusional how much value they put in Poole, Podzemieski and Kuminga.

You're right, this franchise has shown that they have very little ability to correctly scout, draft and develop players. (biggest /sarcasm tag possible)

Like who?

After Curry, Thompson and Green no significant player was drafted.

Or are you hinting at Wiseman? That was a huge blunder as well.

So we finna pretend a bunch of players drafted over a decade ago is sufficient to label a front office as great talent evaluators? Even when the last 10 years sucked donkey dick?

Fair point, I concede. Time got away from me a bit there I guess
