Who wants/needs Capela?

Atlanta has no pressing need for either Randle nor DDV. And so asking them to give up OO/Bufkin/others in addition is confusing. Who is playing center now for instance?

If the Hawks could trade Capela for DDV, they should do that and get value for Bogan.

I mean the poster didn't spell it out, but he indicated it would be Capela/OO/plus assets for Randle/DDV. That just doesn't make sense for Atlanta.

There is no Capela for DDV deal without Randle because of the money. So while maybe they should do that, there is no way to work it for Minny so its moot.

It would depend on the third team. DDV is that guard upgrade they would want. His numbers as a starter with 30+ minutes are way better than as a 6th man. DDV isn’t as ball dominant as DJM likes to be, so they would play more like Brunson and DDV last year. Randle could play with JJ, but the ball dominant nature of Randle almost makes him a first sub out second unit commander. Either way both players add significant scoring and floor spacing. Both are on reasonable deals, and fit well within the existing framework.

As for who plays C maybe the end up keeping Capella or switching Capella for someone like a Kessler who is younger and more affordable. Obviously it would turn into a much larger deal with more moving parts at that point.

Where exactly would DVV fit into a rotation with Dyson as the starter and Bogi as 6th man? Hawks more need a backup PG, but its for the 10-12 ir so minutes that Trae sits.
Definitely have no interest in Randle.
