Something that might surprise most everyone...

The Celtics have a top 5 defense in the last month (while keeping a top 5 offense). Hopefully the shooting of the Jays -- JT, JB, Jrue -- catch up with the rest of the team.

KP has to be the biggest factor in that.

Rim defense for sure. But competition might have also been a factor -- playing WAS and DET twice each, LAC and MIN plus Butler-less MIA. All bottom 3rd of the league in offense.

via Jay King:
Joe Mazzulla said Porzingis looked good at practice today. They’ll see how he feels tomorrow. Sounds like he’s not ruled out of the game against Chicago.

via Bobby Manning:
Al Horford said the #Celtics’ layoff has been too long at this point. He last played one week ago on Thursday vs. DET, and before that on the prior Friday vs. MIL

They should be fresh for the tough January ahead.

A lot of that defensive improvement is KP but also my eyes think Kornet has been amazing lately.
Gonna miss KP but he's no Georges Niang.

The Celtics are the only team that have yet to lose by double digits or even more than 6 pts. We are due for a dud. Maybe we lose by 7 points in this game, you never know.

If we lose by 7 or more (or at all) - we know who to blame (JB of course :D )

If you love three-point shooting, this is the game for you. Celtics and Bulls are the top two teams in 3-pt takes and makes.

Chicago has made 10+ threes in each of their last 27 games, a franchise record.
Boston has a 50-game streak of making 11+ threes dating back to March 1 last season.

I think they're just being extra cautious with KP.

I'm expecting him to play in this game.

Finally a game to watch. Really not liking the scheduling mess this year. I feel like I am going through withdrawal lately. And that Wiz game didn't really satisfy it.

I barely watched the Pistons game (just enough to make sure we would win since I have a good friend who's a DET fan) and missed the Wiz game entirely. Every time I go to turn on the Wiz game late at night I decide sleep sounds better. Glad for scheduling to get back to normal so my wife can be annoyed more often than every 5 days.
