KP has 1 more title than Patrick Ewing and Melo and that 3rd Plumlee brother.

As a (mostly retired) jersey head, one question through which I always saw basketball has been "Whose jersey would I buy from that team?"

Teams I liked always had at least 1, if not multiple players.

And for years I was mostly deprived of that feeling with my own team.

Sure, I loved Gallinari, Melo, and Lin. But otherwise whose jersey would I have worn in the 10+ years stretching from Isiah's final years to the early days of Leon's tenure? Those 3 guys all played for the Knicks within a 3-year span anyways.

I love Quickley and Mitch, mostly because they played defense. But:

D. Rose - Thanks but no thanks
Frank - Sorry I'm not a Red Guard
RJ - Can you be even more boring and selfish at the same time?
Randle - Alright respect but you have the charisma of a grey sock and your game reminds me of winter 1916 in the trenches
KP - He was fun to watch early on but he was never cool and I didn't connect with him like some other fans did
David Lee - No
Knox - lol

Which reminds me I like 3 types of players: guys who defend, guys who hustle, and guys who make it look easy on offense. And this current team has a few of these guys. No matter how far this core goes, I enjoy watching Hart, KAT, Brunson, OG, for very different reasons. I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear their jersey (theoretically or practically) like I would've been for most of the Phil Jackson and Pills era.

I do regret never buying my MJ Burks jersey though. It would've been a nice homage to the Surrealists and the pull-up 3-point shooting artists.

I'm disappointed the thread wasn't named meLo's room. So when he starts on the January rant we could send him to his room.

Fournier > Bogey

Bogey was so bad that Mikal is catching strays for the 5 picks it cost in that deal even though there is no way Brooklyn eats $22M+ for Shake Milton and the corpse of Bogey for free.

I knew Escobar was a big baddie but just read his wiki page last night and holy **** the drug wars he perpetrated were a few levels up from what I understood. I wasn't intending to read his whole wiki page but I started and every line was... you couldn't invent that character if you tried. Or at least I couldn't.

But, per your comment, do you know about the hippos?

He was a lunatic. Now he's a pop culture icon in his homeland. The hippos broke free after he was gone and they've been mating ever since. Colombia now has a hippo problem. I read that hippo steaks are pretty tasty.

The biggest take away from that is how much JB likes TyKo for how hard he works to get better, they probably share some of that second round pick bond as well.
