Adebayo trade when they trade Butler

Post#1 » by Hatrick Ewing » Fri Dec 20, 2024 12:39 am

to NY:
Adebayo

To Mia:
Roninson
Dadiet
Mcbride
Kolek
3 FRP
2 SRP

If they trade Butler and decide to blow up, they get 2 picks down the line which could be high lottery, a flippable big and nice young players including Mcbride who's on a great contract and already proven.

For the Knicks, they give up all their bench, but this starting lineup is finals worthy.

Damn, are you in a one man crusade to spam the boards with bad proposals? This isn't close in value either, 27 year old All NBA caliber players don't go for a bag of trash plus 2 FRPs.

Lol, how many FRP do you think he gets, 7? Bridges is not the barometer now. Mcbride is trash? Possible 6MOTY on one of the best contracts in the league. Dadiet sucks for sure? He was just a FRP and has been good but Thubs doesn't play him.

Adebayo has made 0 all NBA teams, to you do you think that means that he might not quite be an all NBA player? I know he;s more of a longterm bet to stay healthy than an Embiid or a Wembaynama but damn lol.

Bam is on a completely different level than Bridges, so yeah, quite a bit more. Also you're talking late picks, fringe prospects (late first / second rounders) and mediocre role players. Probably 80% of the league beats this offer without even blinking.

That’s pretty bad unless MIA really likes Kolek and Dadiet, which is possible.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Wow, this is an easy pass for Miami. I mean, exceptionally easy pass. If we're trading Jimmy, we're not rebuilding, we're reloading. It's what we always do. So, no Bam won't be available but if he we're to become available, he would go for a lot more than this.

Just terrible...

Would a trade involving Bam and Claxton make any sense for the Heat if Butler goes out and they want to reload?

I mean, Bam is a better player than Bridges. Yes. He’d need a bigger package than Bridges got. He’s locked in long term for at least 3.5 more years (and a player option), and only 27.

If Miami did decide to do a full rebuild and tank for a year or two instead of retooling around the 27 year old star… There would be multiple better offers than the OP. Like probably 10+ teams making better offers?

And that ignores that NYK can only trade a strongly protected Washington first (that likely won’t convey).. so the bad offer in the OP is better than what they currently can offer..

And it ignores the second apron.. (at least Hart has to be included)

So OP is not legal nor accurate

NYK could make a semi competitive offer. Find a third team, hope to get value for OG or Bridges.. Hope Bam makes a short trade demand list.. but not anything like the OP
