Maybe I missed it in the past, but why wasn't KAT always considered a Top 10 talent?

He's easily one of the best players in the league

Well he's considered a top 5 MVP candidate...

He is now. He better be. Talking more about how he wasn't spoken of more highly in the past

I still can't believe the Wolves FO looked at KAT, Gobert, Reid and McDaniels and reached the conclusion that of all these players, KAT was the one to trade away. These other guys are good players but KAT's another level of talent. It boggles the mind.

The trade set them back a decade.

The trade that set them back a decade was really the Gobert trade but losing towns was further fallout from that idiocy

I would disagree with that because they made the Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 with Gobert as their starting center.

He and Towns were an awkward fit but they made it work and all the +/- based stats show that Gobert had an outsize impact on winning (which was also enabled by KAT's versatility and willingness to adapt).

I used to share the criticism of the Gobert trade but I no longer do. I think their run last season vindicated the move to a large extent.

You being an unabashed gogurt fan is really disappointing. Though it just reinforces that no one is perfect - expect green arrow.

We need Precious too

Mitch, Dadiet and Kolek plus two protected firsts for Kessler and Divo in a three way deal

Kessler / Achiuwa
Towns / Josh Hart
Anunoby / Donte
Bridges / Deuce
Brunson / Payne

8-9 starting caliber players

Please!

For Kessler, Danny Ainge would want:

Jalen Brunson
Rick Brunson
Jim Dolan's appendix
an old "B" subway train

who cares what Ainge wants... he is not far from making his players asking fro a trade for peanuts

he is a certified loser nevertheless

Right , I don't see other teams beating down the doors to overpay for his players.

Mikal last 8 games

22.1 ppg
58.1% fg's (15.5 fga/g)
43.1% 3pt fg's (7.3 3pa/g)

OG last 8 games

13.8 ppg
42.0% fg's (12.0 fga/g)
29.2% 3pt fg's (6.0 3pa/g)
2.1 bpg
2.1 spg

OG is struggling offensively lately, but it's almost like he's allowing Mikal to find his offensive game back.

Also, if we got OG getting over 2 blocks and 2 steals a game, his lack of offense is not that big of a deal. OG better be 1st or 2nd All-Defensive Team this year.

Probably because he doesn't look as good as a power forward.

I don't think it's a coincidence he's playing more aggressive without Hart in lineup. Without Josh, he doesn't just stand in the corner, and gets the ball more so he scores and passes more, and he plays better D when he's this aggressive. Tbh, we're at our best with an aggressive Mikal.

Also with Precious next to KAT, I feel like KAT plays more loose too, no pressure on him as the last line of D. Although he leads the L in rebounding, I'm sure KAT loves someone else help rebound when he can't get them.

Please bring Hart off the bench... he can wreak havoc with the 2nd unit with his own playmaking skills.

Very astute point. I too would like Hart off the bench. I love finally not looking like midgets on he floor and every one playing their proper positions.

lets be honest though we were a -4 with precious on the court tonight in a game we won by 26 and he played 28 minutes.

Hart is the starter and Bridges has been ballin' for the entire month of Dec.

Keep Precious with the starters… have Hart play the Manu role and be the 6th man. Fixes a lot of issues for this team.

The Gobert trade led to the KAT trade. It was and still is a dumb trade. Seeing what they gave up and, then shipping out KAT because of salary? Domino effect killing that team because Ant is gonna want out soon too. They are going to spiral downward after this. Randle will be on the block and they won't get anywhere near what we did for him.

No it didn't. They traded KAT to avoid the second apron because of the cap rules, and they prioritized Reid and to a lesser extent McDaniels over KAT in shedding salary. I think there were avenues for keeping both KAT and Gobert. You know, the starting frontcourt of their run to the Conference Finals.

Also, somewhere in the sauce Reid got overrated something wild. He's good but he ain't that good.

TBH that particular play was Ant's fault, but clearly their communication on D is horrible and Randle is a huge part of that.
