I knew Escobar was a big baddie but just read his wiki page last night and holy **** the drug wars he perpetrated were a few levels up from what I understood. I wasn't intending to read his whole wiki page but I started and every line was... you couldn't invent that character if you tried. Or at least I couldn't.

But, per your comment, do you know about the hippos?

He was a lunatic. Now he's a pop culture icon in his homeland. The hippos broke free after he was gone and they've been mating ever since. Colombia now has a hippo problem. I read that hippo steaks are pretty tasty.

I would totally eat Escobar hippo.

Julius played a major role in the Knicks resurgence and I don't lose sight of that. But the contrast between how unlikeable he is and how likeable KAT is is staggering.

Randle was a stat padding sloth here. His first three seasons were trash. Then we added talent and he rode the bus. Leon gets ALL of the credit for the Knicks resurgence. Randle had one good month and that was it. We have the receipts.

Randle took his biggest paydays from us when no one else offered him that kind of money. If he had been more agreeable and not such a bitter and moody guy it'd be easier to thank him for his service. But the only thing Randle cared about was Randle. He's a stat whore and a revolving door on defense. He didn't do squat to rebuild the Knicks. This FO did it. They flipped Randle for a big prize.

Also what KAT does for an offense. Holy **** what a difference.

But I don't like to dunk on JR either for the same reason. If we had replaced him with somebody on the level of Kuzma or Grant (I had those guys in consideration at one time) we'd see a difference in the other direction. KAT was an incredible get.

The Knicks have now had SEVEN players from the 2015 draft play for them:
KAT - 1st pick
KP - 4th pick
Mario Hezonja - 5th pick
Emmanuel Mudiay - 8th pick
Cam Payne - 14th pick
Bobby Portis - 22nd pick
Willy Hernangomez - 35th pick

We really looked at one of the worst drafts in the new century and said, lets have 20+% of these guys play for us in the next decade :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I agree
Flipping RJ and quick for OG was a crazy get
Flipping Randle for KAT was even more nuts, even if it meant adding Donte
It sounds like flipping those picks for Mikal might just be on the cherries on top it all

If Mitch can stay healthy this team will be a juggernaut.
We have four starters that can each dominate a game in KAT, OG,Mikal and Brunson.
What I love about this team is how much we can change with that 5th spot, we have 4 players that could start and give us a different but just as effective look in Hart, Deuce, Mitch and Precious.
Then we have Cam Payne who seems like the perfect backup PG and teammate and Shamet coming back.
Thank God Randle and his attitude are gone, just get healthy and we are beating anybody and everybody.

One of the picks from the KP trade became grimes, the other was in this year’s draft who I dont really know who we drafted with it.
Then of course KAT
But damn, who would have seen 9 years down the line what would have happened with that draft, two of them (KAT and Cam) currently on the team

He was a paid mercenary.

He got his gold in blood, he gets no praise for that.

Selfish sniveling pouting lunatic.

Randle is who those who hate on Melo think he is.
