I don't think it's a coincidence he's playing more aggressive without Hart in lineup. Without Josh, he doesn't just stand in the corner, and gets the ball more so he scores and passes more, and he plays better D when he's this aggressive. Tbh, we're at our best with an aggressive Mikal.
Also with Precious next to KAT, I feel like KAT plays more loose too, no pressure on him as the last line of D. Although he leads the L in rebounding, I'm sure KAT loves someone else help rebound when he can't get them.
Please bring Hart off the bench... he can wreak havoc with the 2nd unit with his own playmaking skills.
Very astute point. I too would like Hart off the bench. I love finally not looking like midgets on he floor and every one playing their proper positions.
lets be honest though we were a -4 with precious on the court tonight in a game we won by 26 and he played 28 minutes.
Hart is the starter and Bridges has been ballin' for the entire month of Dec.
I just like the size the Precious gives us. He's still somewhat tentative after the injury. Mikal has been balling true but he was really balling tonight. So much so that Brunson's offense was an afterthought.
I think Hart could really boost our bench production -something that is sorely needed. It's all about balance.

Same lazy Randle on defense. Glad they got rid of him.

KAT trade destroying that team in less then 30 games. Ouch. We all know what he wants to say.
Leon Rose is a master! He was ready when that Kat opportunity appeared and he pounced!!!!

He is now. He better be. Talking more about how he wasn't spoken of more highly in the past
Probably because he doesn't look as good as a power forward.
It's all semantics. He's as positionless as a stretch big can get.

The Gobert trade led to the KAT trade. It was and still is a dumb trade. Seeing what they gave up and, then shipping out KAT because of salary? Domino effect killing that team because Ant is gonna want out soon too. They are going to spiral downward after this. Randle will be on the block and they won't get anywhere near what we did for him.
No it didn't. They traded KAT to avoid the second apron because of the cap rules, and they prioritized Reid and to a lesser extent McDaniels over KAT in shedding salary. I think there were avenues for keeping both KAT and Gobert. You know, the starting frontcourt of their run to the Conference Finals.
It absolutely did. The results of trading for Gobert is playing out in real time. The mistakes they made after wouldn't have been an issue if they didn't have to address the money they spent on a one dimensional center. The picks package theys sent out looks worse than the 5 picks for Mikal right now. Too scared to admit they were wrong and ship Gobert out instead? That's on them. If they don't make that trade, the cap/apron rules wouldn't matter. Now they follow it up with an even worse trade. Gobert was the first domino. Dumb trade.

You can tell KAT's a pure shooter by the sound of the net in his swishes.

They made the Conference Finals last year and were many people's favorite to come out of the West going into this season. They built a contender with KAT and Gobert, and they could have kept them both. Trading KAT for Randle closed that window, but their window was open with both players on the roster.

To those of you who were openly worrying about whether he can play with a rim running defensive center and stay efficient, KAT played all his minutes this game next to Precious and Sims who aren't particularly perimeter oriented themselves and turned in his most efficient game of the season.
If you continue repeating this ad nauseam until Mitch finally returns, expect to be openly mocked and laughed at. Just leave it be for the time being and let's see how it plays out, I suspect you will be pleasantly surprised.

Wolves trading for Randle is very much like when the Lakers traded for Westbrook
I think the Wolves thought Randle was a way better than what he has shown
Likewise, no one on the Lakers side thought Westbrook would be as bad as he was for them
Wolves need to trade Randle to the Wizards for Kuzma and some expiring
I kind of wonder if KAT felt insulted that the Wolves felt they wouldn't lose much of a step by replacing him with Randle

Re: PG - KNICKS vs Wolves: KAT Brings Home The Win!!!
Hart to the bench is kinda open for discussion. I am not calling for it after one game though. Randle single handedly killed Minnesota tonight. I don't think our lineup was the cause. It was Randle doing Randle things like he ALWAYS did here. He must have been saving it for tonight and playing more of a back seat role but, this game was more about him being a terrible person than Precious starting.
I get why people are thinking it but subs can handle any issue people have. Hart is a better player and has earned his starting gig IMO.

Horrendous game to be at as a Wolves fan. KAT actually got a solid whistle tonight, if he is able to get the same whistle most star players get his numbers will be through the roof. He doesn't get a third of the calls Embiid get and that has been so frustrating to watch, dude would be scoring another 3-5 PPG every year if he got calls for being hacked and whacked.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

this isn't entirely true though. not disagreeing with your point, but the knicks started the 2nd quarter with a true 5 out lineup.
it was cam, deuce, bridges, OG and towns... and it as unstoppable. that lineup played most of the 2nd quarter until brunson came in for cam and then precious for bridges.
this trade for Kat to play 5 out has never truly materialized because thibs is overly in love with josh hart.
a lot of us thought our best lineup would be with deuce in there instead of hart.
i love brunson but his defense is questionable so the 2nd unit lineup in this game was essentially true 5 out with 4 very good defenders and Kat. i hope we can see more of it even after hart comes back. to me he should be a 20-25 min a game guy off the bench.

Well... hindsight is 20/20. The Gobert trade opened this door. They walked through it. They didn't need Gobert to LOSE in the WCF. It was a dumb trade IMO. It led to even worse moves afterwards. It didn't get them a title and, the aftermath is them in a downward spiral. KAT at the 5 is working just fine here. Maybe they should have traded for OG/Precious type players. The picks they gave up and the money they paid him are also ridiculous.
We can agree to disagree sir. I never liked the trade and I think Gobert is massively overrated and overpaid. He's basically a healthy Mitch.
