Welp. Lebron has now spoken against the 3-ball revolution. So they realize they can't compete with the Celtics, whose entire roster shoots threes, so they want the league to change the rules lol.

Well, not to split hairs, but the entire roster doesn’t shoot 3’s, not well anyway. Luke and Queta don’t shoot 3s at all. Scheierman is at a 0% conversion rate on 3PTA, Xavier Tillman is 18% on 3’s, Walsh is 22% on 3’s, and Springer is also 0% from 3 on the year.

On our 14 man roster, 8 guys are >33% on 3PTA and 6 are not.

Meant to say main playoff rotation. 8 guys. All shoot threes. Only JB is iffy with his 3-ball.

Who **** cares if Springer and Scheierman don't shoot threes when they don't even play.

The Celtics are not the first 3pt shooting team in the NBA.

The 1993 Suns, under Westphal, tried this approach in the early 90s.

D'Antoni's Suns of the mid 2000s and Rockets of the mid 2010s all relied heavily on the 3pt shot.

But all those teams didn't win a championship.

The difference with the Celtics is their great shooting is complemented by great defense.

In Europe, shooting is basic.

That's why majority of international players in the NBA can shoot from the outside.

The defense has to line up 10 yards off the ball -- similar to a kickoff -- and the defense is NOT allowed to try and block the kick.

The last time it was done was my Bucs in 2019 (i think), we missed, I know I watched that game, but I have no memory of that play. Sports just have rules that come out of the woodwork. Kudos to the coaches/staff for knowing the rules (unless the refs told them)!

That's easier said than done because as great as the Celtic offense is, there's still that tendency to take contested shots, especially JB.

If the Cs are going to beat the Cavs, they have to do it with offense because only Donovan is taking contested shots.

The Cavs players just won't shoot if it's not open.

They really move the ball.
