The problem with Randle is that he will get his, and ice other ppl out. Which is why ANT couldn’t get going.
Donte is valuable, dont run him at point, instead run him OFF BALL, screen for him and let him catch and shoot.

Wonder is we could trade the number 32 from Knicks? Seems to be a good player. Maybe him for Randle and DDV? :)

Taj gibson was good, vando was good. Covington was good. How good do you want?

Vando had no offense plus that was a Dlo team. Taj was during the whole Jimmy debacle and Covington isn’t a true pf. All those teams had other issues and weren’t as complete as last years team. However they did make the playoffs.

Although, I was talking more about fit/type if Kat plays the 5 and all the guys mentioned didn’t space the floor for him like OG and the Knicks do. Of course this doesn’t mean Kat would be a dpoy.

You said the wolves have never paired Kat with a great defensive player. The Wolves have given him nothing but his defensive pfs. The defense has still always been bad because kat at the 5 means you are a bad defensive team, which was the point of the discussion. Not sure why your talking about offense

In the initial post, I referenced OG as the potential prototype player that fans maybe preferred to pair with Towns at the 5. I prob should’ve expanded on that and not just mention defense only.

So to clarify again, it was more about overall fit next to Towns than just defense.

We were 12th best defense and 7th best offense with Vando and KAT. We're are 11th and 11th this year. So if the only major change we made from being #1 last year was KAT and right now we are 11th, that kind paints a different story.

For years? You mean where we had a revolving door of coaches and marquee players? Finch's was the longest tenured coach KAT had.

And lest you forget the Butler years, we did go somewhere. It never lasted long.

Him being on this team kept it together.

Kept it together from what? The lottery? Big reason why they had a revolving door was because kat wasn’t a franchise player. He had flip then they brought in thibs for Kat to make him a better defensive player. That didn't work out. They gave it to ryan Saunders largely because he was close with kat. That didn't work out. Now they have Finch

Good lord you're stupid. Flip died that's why they brought in Thibs you moron, Mitchell wasn't a permanent coach. Ryan Saunders was a legacy/nepo hire.

They had one year of Butler essentially.

KAT had the likes of Wiggins next to him. And DLo and he still got us to the playoffs.

Give Rudy the supporting cast KAT had and people would be calling him out even more than they are now.

Rudy basically had excellent help since day one.

You're a moron.

Well it will only be ok once Randle is gone. Randle himself, and some idiot wolves fans look at his stat lines and think he was helpful in the team winning the game. Dude watches his stat lines all game, doesn't give a **** about winning.

The fact that Rudy take a day off and send his twin brother ( the one who play table tennis not basketball) to play did not help. But all the others players excepted Josh ( but garbage tîme) s….. I can understand and accept that from old players like Mike who need to find rythm but efforts from the others were close to zero…. Just one game , forget it and move to next one.

Flip died before he coached Towns a single game.

Towns broke his wrist twice. Got Covid. The general disastrous fallout of the Jimmy Butler disaster. There's a lot of context you know about but are leaving out to win an online argument.

I wish I could find it. I read an interview or quote years ago of a former player taking about how he felt calls were less favorable when they played in Minnesota and something to the effect of other players around the league knew it too.

Was at the game, went for my birthday. Actually missed the first 5 minutes which sucked because I wanted to see the tribute and give KAT some love with an ovation. Happy to hear the fans did him justice though. That said game was a nightmare. We got absolutely bodied. Towns was grabbing every board in sight. At one point he had almost more rebounds himself than everyone on the floor for our team. It was shameful.

Fans were getting pissed, there were some boos. Several pockets of KAT fans started cheering him on only. The arena was just a somber, depressing place after halftime. My friend was really disgusted by the effort of our guys, he was ripping Ant for not showing up and looking like he was trying hard to play. Donte was getting some boo birds and yea, people seem really exasperated by him. Every miss I saw fans cringing.

This was a bad bad night, I think the highlights of all of Towns' work in the community and such added extra salt, a lot of fans in the arena just seemed sad. Vibes are on life support right now.

It is time to pull DDV and JR from the rotation for a while, try to get Ant back to team ball, light a fire under Rudy, start Naz, and give Minott and TSJ some run. I know Dilly will need it to, but only with Ant.

Also Happy Birthday. Sorry it involved a game like that, but hey at least Iowa dominated today :)

OK...

Can't tell I have anything to say about the game... I came just to read and take a screenshot.

But I'm happy for Pueblos.

ANT's comments post-game
lack of space at rim (which he's been saying since Gobert trade to be fair)
lack of identity on offense

don't think he's happy at the position he's been put in by either his coach or GM

the "They not going to like what I say, so I'm just going to keep it to myself." about fixing the offense
I wonder if thats about lineup or trade change comment though

Given that Anthony Edwards has thrown multiple games this season with his horrible hero-ball, I would strongly suggest to him that a lot of the problems are self-inflicted.

Dude is a black hole, the lack of offensively flow is as (if not more) attributable to him than it is Julius Randle.

KAT isn’t averaging more FTs per 36 with Knicks.
