DeAaron Fox To Rockets

Post#1 » by Hatrick Ewing » Fri Dec 20, 2024 12:32 am

To Hou:
Fox

To Sac:
Dillon Brooks
Jalen Green
Landale
Jabari Smith
2 FRP

Why for Hou? Get the best player and go all in with a guy who can close games.

Why for Sac? Get a promising young guy who averages 20 PPG, Landale who can be flipped, and a pick. They aren't going anywhere and this is a pretty fair return.

I think Jalen Green is a negative asset at his extension, Landale is filler, Dillon Brooks is a good ROLE PLAYER and the pick isn't specified. It's safe to say Kings can get a hell of a lot more than this for Fox, it's an awful, awful deal for the Kings.

PS: now you added Jabari Smith and one more pick... closer, but not nearly enough yet. Maybe if he asks out, you specify which picks those are, and throw in Sheppard, you could be closer.

I thought Parker and the two firsts might put it over the top, I still like Parker quite a bit.

If there is a deal its probably our expirings and picks, and maybe Reed as the prospect.

Brooks is key to what we do.

Orlando should be able to easily beat this offer (if they’re interested).

ORL sends: Jonathan Isaac, Jalen Suggs
SAC sends: De'Aaron Fox

*Before you ORL fans complain...this just isn't happening without Suggs (or Franz). I love Isaac's fit next to Sabonis. SAC is NOT blowing it up, so forget about Black and Jett and frps.

I’m not saying Suggs is untouchable, but I don’t agree.

Orlando has enough assets to get creative and add a 3rd team if necessary.

I think Fox and Van Vleet doesn’t work great.

How about bring in New Orleans

Sacramento
Sends: Fox, Trey Lyles
Receives: Ingram, Missi, Jabari Smith

New Orleans
Sends: Ingram, Missi, 1st
Receives: Van Vleet
Open to another option than Missi but New Orleans needs to send 3M in salary

Houston
Sends: Van Vleet, Smith, 1st
Receives: Fox, Lyles

Why for Sac:
Balances out the lineup adds picks

Why for Houston:
They add Fox and Lyles on an expiring

Why for New Orleans.
They turn Ingram on the verge of losing for nothing into Van Vleet.

Just commenting on the Pelicans part- they give up expiring Ingram, good rookie and a 1st for 30+ y/o VanVleet on an expiring contract (or player option for 40m) when they have Murray at PG?

Isn't the deal Fox/Hueter for FVV (adequate PG for Sac this year), Thompson and like 3 picks (Suns' '27 pick should be valuable, plus an unprotected '28 Hou pick and another)?

Hou goes for it
Fox/Reed
Green/Huerter
Dillon/Cam
Smith/Eason
Senguin/Adams

That team is dangerous

Sac stays competitive with
FVV/Keon
Monk/Thompson
DDR/Thompson
Murray/Lyles
Sabonis/Len

Then they have Carter coming next year, and some pick capital to play with. I like Thompson a lot moving forward

I don't think Amen is anywhere near close to being included in trade packages. Of all the guys we drafted, he might well be the most untouchable one. Swap out Amen with maybe two out of Jalen, Sheppard and Whitmore.

Another thing, if Sac trades Fox away, would they really try and stay competitive? I thought if they did that, it would be them admitting this iteration of the Kings isn't working out, so they head into a rebuild?

I can pull the Pels out and work just with Houston.

If we are trading Fox we need forwards. We don’t need or want VanVleet in our already crowded back court. Ideally I want Smith.

I don’t do your trade

Fred+Jabari+ swap rights for the best of 2027 Brooklyn/PHX/Houston + 2027 second best of Brooklyn/PHX/Houston, Houston 2028 unprotected+ best of 2029 Houston/Dallas/PHX I think is my offer

feel like i might be overpaying but still have some first around in 25, 27, 29 and everything after that

I was just thinking about this a few days ago when Fox said "he loves it in Sac, but..." Always a sign that he's not 100% committed to the Kings, especially since he declined signing an extension with them.

It probably makes the most sense after the season if they decide to part ways with FVV. Fox and FVV would be a brutal backcourt.

Why would NOP do this? They will end up letting FVV expire. They can do the same with Ingram without the added cost of losing Missi and the pick..

Bad trade for Pels. They suck, why are they giving up good assests to add FVV?

The team that should be in play for Fox is Brooklyn. They have a ton of picks and Simmons's massive expiring. Send like 3 firsts and him to Sac. Bench him for the year to keep the tank going and roll out next season with:

Fox, the Cams, Claxton and the draft pick.

In my opinion New Orleans has been marginal for a long time partly not having a strong point guard. But I get you don’t want Fred so that is fine.
