DFS and Sharpe is probably enough to justify a protected first round pick.
The Nets have no good reason to trade Sharpe otherwise.

Yeah I was going to say that Rui+SRP for Sexton is most I'd give. Rui is similarly an efficient scorer and stays efficient in the playoffs. Sexton certainly worth more for the creation but not a ton more because of size difference.
Anyway, I think only the Brooklyn deal makes sense to me.
Seems like you just get rid of the protections on the 27 pick and do Rui for Sexton in that case.
Yeah that fits.
Lakers get Sexton, DFS, Sharpe
Nets get DLo, Hayes, LAL28swap, 2xSRPs
Jazz get Rui, remove protections on LAL27FRP
Sexton, Reaves, DFS, LeBron, Davis
Vincent, Christie, Vando, Wood, Sharpe
Is LAL better after this, yes. Is the juice worth the squeeze?

About as well as they could hope to do without sending out a first.
Sexton is an improvement on DLO-- he's younger, more athletic, traditionally a better and more efficient scorer and he's having a better season.
DFS and Rui are both shooting 45% from three (though DFS is doing it on three more attempts) but when both of their shooting regresses to the mean, DFS has the ability to guard both 3s/4s at an adequate level. Rui is only capable of guarding 4s and doesn't really do it all that well most of the time.
Sharpe, from what I've read, should be the best defensive back-up big that LA has had in years.

Re: LAL improves
So it seems it would be:
Lakers get Sexton, DFS, Sharpe
Nets get DLo, Hayes, LAL28swap, LAL30FRP(First 3 protected)
Jazz get Rui, remove protections on LAL27FRP
This makes some sense from each time finally!

Makes less sense for the lakers imo. A expensive way to add one additional player of depth

I like Sharpe but this looks like a fair deal for the Nets.

I was looking at as lakers trading 2 roles players to get 3. Not sure that’s worth unprotecting a pick, pick swap and a first.
I don’t see lakers being one additional role players away.

Sexton DFS and Sharpe on LAL would make them contenders once they mesh together for 15 games. They lose Rui and a few picks that a gamble in the future. What if LAL signs a FA in a year or two once Lebron leaves and they become great by the end of the decade? Trade the picks now as you can win one more title within 2 years if you do!

Literally NO ONE else has suggested that deal beforehand, so to act like some "concensus" had been found with ur proposed deal is just a not-very-subtle attempt at gas-lighting.
The Nets part, you have been offered the swap and 2nds, and then another Nets fan ammended that to a lightly protected 1st, (and i assume a 2nd or 2 wouldn't be a sticking point to either deal for the Lakers side. NO ONE has offered BOTH, ESPECIALLY with only top 3 protection on the '30 1st. I'd thing it would at least be top 5 or 6 protected, then if not conveyed, u could unprotect it the NEXT year. If Lakers are STILL bad enough to be giving up a Top 5 or better pick by then, thats 100% on them.
As for the Utah part, Sexton is in no way worth a Top 4 Pick, which is the only way Utah misses out on it. 2nds should be enough to get the Sexton/Rui swap done. If not, move to the next target/buy-outs...

Just don't make any trade and if the team fails blow it all up in the off-season?
