Got the NBA Trade Machine to accept the salaries on this one but not sure about the draft picks.
Nets need to get something for Cam Johnson and San Antonio is basically neutral but the Nets would definitely be interested in pick swaps where they could possibly move up from the picks they are getting from teams like the Knocks or Rockets to the picks San Antonio is getting from Atlanta or Chicago. If San Antonio wants future picks instead of going all in this year something along these lines might work. Phoenix would be paying to unload Beal and get Cam Johnson back. Lakers getting Beal to win now for players they don't want or need would seem to have them paying but they would be stuck with Beal's contract so I think they are paying but I could be wrong on that.
The biggest problem I see with this deal is that Phoenix can give its 2031 first rounder without protections but is sorely lacking in other assets. Unless the Lakers are eager or at least willing to pay something for Beal I am not sure there is enough meat on the bone for the Nets or Spurs to be happy.
Nets Get:
Chris Paul PG (expiring)
Tre Jones PG (expiring)
Jalen Hood-Schifino PG/SG (expiring)
Nets Give:
Cam Johnson SF
Why for Nets?
Getting expiring contracts and some combination of picks and swaps.
Spurs Get:
D’Angelo Russell PG (expiring)
Tyus Jones PG (expiring)
Spurs Give:
Chris Paul PG (expiring)
Tre Jones PG (expiring)
Why for Spurs?
Move of of 39 year old Chris Paul for two younger point guards who they can either extend or move on from after the season as well as the opportunity to add or at least swap draft capital to fit their needs.
Lakers Get:
Bradley Beal SG (3 Years)
Lakers Give:
D’Angelo Russell PG (expiring)
Rui Hachimura SF/PF (2 Years)
Gabe Vincent PG (2 Years)
Jalen Hood-Schifino PG/SG (expiring)
Why for Lakers?
The Lakers trade four players they don't really want or need for Bradley Beal as their third star.
Suns Get:
Cam Johnson SF (3 Years)
Rui Hachimura SF/PF (2 Years)
Gabe Vincent PG (2 Years)
Suns Give:
Bradley Beal SG (3 Years)
Why for Suns?
The Suns move off of Beal's contract while getting Cam Johnson back. With Hachimura they are getting two starters for one.

Re: BRK - SA - LAL - PHX
what's the main idea here? Just feels like a bunch of ideas crammed together. Only team this really makes sense for is Brooklyn who somehow are getting multiple picks and swaps and no future money for Cam? Feels like an overpay even without knowing the specifics unless the picks are 2nd rounders plus swaps.
And we really need to know who you expect to pay Brooklyn and San Antonio. And you are asking the Lakers to pay a ton for the worst contract in the league. You do see how that's a problem right?
But LA shouldn't saddle themselves with Beal. Especially not if they are paying.
Spurs shouldn't move Paul for Tyus, He's doing exactly what they wanted.
Phoenix should probably make the player swap here. But what do they have to pay with? And how much?
IDK, needs more specifics but also LA and San Antonio should be out no matter what.

Feels like SA, Brooklyn, and LA will all want draft compensation, and Phoenix has absolutely none to give?
Also, directions feel really weird? SA has Chris Paul, old as he is, to help develop the roster. They not only don’t WANT to swap him for younger players, they would prefer not to. And they have the Jones they want.
LA can’t really afford to deal depth for Beal. Also, this legally doesn’t work for them. They’re aggregating here, so they incur a hard cap at the 2nd apron. They’d end this deal less than $600k under it, but would have to fill 2 more roster spots to get to the minimum?
Lastly, theres a LOT of PG’s in this deal. And midseason, teams generally crave PG’s, but none of the teams involved will want to pay a premium for them. Feels like a misdirection that doesn’t make sense for anyone?

Dr Chaos with a truly chaotic proposal where Nets lose assets for nothing, Spurs shuffle expiring PGs that fit for others who don't (DLo specifically), and Lakers get themselves in cap hell for a Westbrook like trade yet again. Only Suns benefit from this trade.

What picks are the Nets getting to get their ass crushed in this trade by about 100000 miles?

I'm not able to follow this one lol, you need to get the returns right for each team.

Yeah I do not see the Nets giving the best trade asset that is possibly on the market but likely not for expirings and 2 crappy 1sts or whatever it might be.

Got all of the salaries to work in the trade machine before I saw how depleted the Suns draft capital is.
What the Nets might want here would be picks swaps with the Spurs to move up (Hawks and or Bulls) from the bottom of round one (Rockets, Knicks, Bucks pick).
The players for the Spurs are basically neutral but if they were getting picks they might be willing to give the Nets at least one swap.
I think the Suns would be glad to part with the 2031 first rounder to be rid of Beal.
The trick with this is what the Lakers are thinking.
For Beal and some second rounders would they give up a protected first rounder.
I think there is the makings of a deal here but the Suns lack of draft picks might just kill the whole thing.

Spurs are never doing this.
