Brunson didn’t even have a good game, that’s the scary thing

Brunson had the Dennis Johnson defer and sublimate his game to others game. It's something some great, team oriented players do.

We haven't had a bench all year. We have been up and down as a result of still building chemistry. Since we got the three main bench piece back playing together, Thibs has been tinkering with his rotation. We may still have a few bad games on the way as we continue to find our groove.

The Brunson talk is wild(not saying that here). He's the head of the snake for the most part. He is also adjusting his game to find the right fit as buzz mentioned A game like this we had a new lineup to adjust to. He didn't have a bad game per se. It just won't look like the 40 pt games he was dropping every night last year because he doesn't have to carry the team, on his back anymore. Teams are also geared to trying to stop him still and letting the rest of the team try to beat them. Without Hart, we seen Mikal getting more opportunities to do his thing. It's gonna take a minute to adjust to that too.

I was thinking that Brunson deferring more will mean he is no longer 1a 1b in that role. Allowing KAT to be the 1a and getting Mikal/others going is a good idea. Brunson is still a dawg but, he doesn't have to do it all by himself anymore. It is a different look. People have been acting like there is some discussion that needs to be had about him(fuq you Greenie! ). Nonsense. He is still an amazing PG and the slander has to stop. Dude is a beast. People just aren't used to the Knicks having a real PG for the first time in 50 years!

If the Knicks wait until some magic date in February, can they eject Ryan into the sun and have Warren on the team instead?

I agree with most of this...We have to realize that we have a ton of offensive fire power on this team. We also have a ton of defensive power as well. Formulating all of that energy could never happen over night. Add in unavailable players...limited
rotations and the final product will take time...Brunson is clearly playing to win...He's not playing to score 40. Even Kat as he showed last night took time and let the game come to him...

Patience Knick family is what we need here... :D

Mitch is going to add a whole new look to things as well. Thibs will be forced to expand his rotation with them both back healthy. Time will tell but, there is another level this team can reach. When they do the league is gonna have problems!

Ryan is getting launched as soon as Shamet is healthy. We can't bring Shamet in with Ryan still on the books. His non gtd money will be gone. When that February date rolls around we will either bring in Warren or another vet mini to fill whatever need we have.

We have been preaching patience all year brother! I lost my way for a minute with Thibs but, I am back on track. Losing tends to bring out the PTSD of the prior two decades.

He doesn't get a third of the calls Embiid get and that has been so frustrating to watch, dude would be scoring another 3-5 PPG every year if he got calls for being hacked and whacked.

Where to from here for you guys? Randle moved on?

I'm not throwing in the towel on the season. The team has shown some nice improvement in the last ten games. I still think they can get it together have a solid season. That said, the team isn't nearly as fun to watch and the ceiling currently doesn't feel as high.

Wolves got a lot to figure out, this offense is horrible. Conely has taken a huge step back, may be cooked at 37. Gobert has also taken a step back though he has recently had some flashes of last seasons form. I think the chemistry is just really funky right now and has to be figured out.

Longer term, we need better PG play and spacing. Spacing can improve form within right now a bit but some moves are probably needed to get this team humming much better. I don't know if Randle will be here long term but that could still be a possibility depending on what moves are made. I don't blame our woes all on Randle, like some do, though he has been part of the problem too.

I don’t have any issue if he wants to defer a little more but shooting 5-14 for 14 pts on poor shot selection with some bad turnovers that went for a bucket the other way wasn’t a good game. He could defer more and still be efficient and take care of the ball not put up an Elfrid stat line. But I was saying it’s scary(for other teams) because we know that wasn’t even the best we have to offer. Because he is an amazing PG and usually plays better so we still have another level when he’s cooking
