Sucks that AJ Johnson isn't even remotely close to being a playable rotation guy, because with Delon being pretty useless, the lack of a solid backup PG has become very evident in these recent games where Dame is forced to play so many minutes. The Bucks minutes with Middleton playing a PG have been phenomenal. I like the idea of adding more ball handlers, but they don't need to be PGs.

Interesting he's citing us seeking a lob threat to complement Brook while also saying Brook has generated no shortage of trade interest.

Something around Bobby or Connaughton/MarJon and a pick seems way more likely than a Brook trade. But with centers who can defend and shoot being at such a premium maybe there's a deal out there we'd do.

Either way, other than Robert Williams III, what other lob threats do we think Horst is making calls about?

Given that both AJ and Tyler Smith are big time projects, I'm guessing Horst drafted those guys because they don't have any picks in 2025. They're going to be our rookies for both this year and next year. The chance that the Bucks would be able to draft someone in 2024 that would actually play and help them this year was pretty slim. So why not draft for a few years down the road?

Connaufhton, Beauchamp and the ‘31 1st would help now and get us under the second apron if I’m not mistaken.

Reckon he could be a bargain. Seems to have gone down the Bogut route of over bulking in his second year and has lost his spring.

A 21-year-old center full of upside? And we all know bigs take a few years to blossom. Sign me up. I'm a fan. He has an all-star ceiling in my opinion.

Not questioning the Hornets of all franchises making a bad move rather I'm legitimately wondering! If any team could wait and see if Williams can get his injuries under control vs trade him on the cheap it seems like it'd be them.

Either way: Bobby for Nick Richards + Tre Mann or Mark Williams + any 1 of Vicic/Martin/Mann would work under the cap.

Again I'm not clear on the value to the Bucks of any of these scenarios, legitimately wondering!

Over the last 3 seasons, DSJ had shot 25% from 3. We've already seen what it looks like pairing Giannis with playoff Bledsoe, and it wasn't good.

DSJ is the kinda guy you pick up if you’re Utah and try rehab his image/value in the hope you might get a useful asset from a wannabe contender down the line.

He makes zero sense on this bucks team. Who is he taking minutes from? Green? Ajax? Midds?

I don't think we're going to sign anybody off the street who's going to step into the regular rotation. If he takes anybody's minutes, it'd be the irregular minutes Wright gets.

There is definitely room on this team for another PoA defender who can also legitimately handle the ball and distribute.

Well, Williams has missed 123 games so far in his career, 1/3 of the way through his 3rd season. You shouldn't have to look farther than that to understand why the Hornets might want to cash out. I have no idea what they actually want to do, I just want to bring in the guy I see as a premier C talent.

I suggest players/trades based on how they'd benefit my team with a vague filter for cases that don't have plausible justifications. I think Charlotte would be foolish to move Williams, but I'm rooting for them to be fools.

Just go after Jay Huff who is athletic enough to roll for lobs but can also shoot 3s. He is a cheap guy on a team full of big so he could be expendable. Giannis can play with a roll big similar to how Mobley plays with Allen but why not get a guy that can shoot as well.

I think the idea is to have 1 center who isn't ultra slow. Huff is solid, but he's also slow.

It is nuts that we never brought in Huff previously though. He started out this season on a 2 way.
