Keep Bobby, Khris & Brook. Continuity & Chemistry>
Deals seem sexy but Big Bro (GA) going vocal is a game changer with Big Bob. POTUS is looking good on both ends atm.
Re: Bob Williams... he's barely played after a major surgery, thanks to the Cs running him into ground. Two surgeries on other knee prior to that. Pass.

Rondo's already there coaching, just give him a 10 day, how bad can it be?

The Bucks minutes with Middleton playing a PG have been phenomenal. I like the idea of adding more ball handlers, but they don't need to be PGs.

Interesting he's citing us seeking a lob threat to complement Brook while also saying Brook has generated no shortage of trade interest.
Something around Bobby or Connaughton/MarJon and a pick seems way more likely than a Brook trade. But with centers who can defend and shoot being at such a premium maybe there's a deal out there we'd do.
Either way, other than Robert Williams III, what other lob threats do we think Horst is making calls about?
Hoopshype has quotes of a few different parts from today's Marc Stein / Fischer piece about the market for centers for anyone looking for more context.
This part stood out to me too -- Looney sure isn't a lob threat, but maybe Trayce Jackson-Davis is someone we're looking at there:
https://hoopshype.com/rumor/blazers-not-eager-to-trade-robert-williams/
First names that come to mind are Nick Richards or Mark Williams.
I read that as Mark Williams or Mark Williams.
Seriously though, we should be talking to Charlotte. I would say Williams or [I am going to keep saying this even though it is *questionable*] Monsieur Diabetes.
It's maddening that we were begging Horst to sign an athletic big to a 2 way in the offseason, with options like Diabite and Dominic Barlow on our list, and Horst instead signed that 28 year old Euro scrub. Diabite seemed obvious after he ragdolled our Summer League team.

Or Horst could've taken Filipowski instead of reaching for AJ Johnson.

I'm not sure I'd call him an athletic big, but yeah, AJ Johnson had no business being drafted in round 1.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
We gave Horst an incredible amount of heat for his poor drafting for years.
But now Andre Jackson Jr. looks like a potentially perfect compliment to Dame as well as a super athlete to help fill our void there.
And the only reason AJ Green (who he picked up off the scrap heap) isn't starting is Ajax has been so good.
A lights out shooter who can actually defend, not to mention own a nickname as perfectly Wisconsin as Dairy Bird? Come on now!
Basically I'm gonna give Jon some grace and time on AJ Johnson.

Given that both AJ and Tyler Smith are big time projects, I'm guessing Horst drafted those guys because they don't have any picks in 2025. They're going to be our rookies for both this year and next year. The chance that the Bucks would be able to draft someone in 2024 that would actually play and help them this year was pretty slim. So why not draft for a few years down the road?

Connaufhton, Beauchamp and the ‘31 1st would help now and get us under the second apron if I’m not mistaken.
Reckon he could be a bargain. Seems to have gone down the Bogut route of over bulking in his second year and has lost his spring.
A 21-year-old center full of upside? And we all know bigs take a few years to blossom. Sign me up. I'm a fan. He has an all-star ceiling in my opinion.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
There's a strong contingent on this board for Mark Williams...but can someone explain to me why he'd be the one on the outs of Charlotte's crowded center rotation?
Not questioning the Hornets of all franchises making a bad move rather I'm legitimately wondering! If any team could wait and see if Williams can get his injuries under control vs trade him on the cheap it seems like it'd be them.
Either way: Bobby for Nick Richards + Tre Mann or Mark Williams + any 1 of Vicic/Martin/Mann would work under the cap.
Again I'm not clear on the value to the Bucks of any of these scenarios, legitimately wondering!
Certainly other ways we could get some of these guys without Bobby too. Fwiw:

Nick Richards – Two (2) to Four (4) Second-Round Picks/Rotation Player

Josh Green – Three (3) Second-Round Picks/Rotation Player

DSJ is the kinda guy you pick up if you’re Utah and try rehab his image/value in the hope you might get a useful asset from a wannabe contender down the line.
He makes zero sense on this bucks team. Who is he taking minutes from? Green? Ajax? Midds?
I don't think we're going to sign anybody off the street who's going to step into the regular rotation. If he takes anybody's minutes, it'd be the irregular minutes Wright gets.
There is definitely room on this team for another PoA defender who can also legitimately handle the ball and distribute.

Well, Williams has missed 123 games so far in his career, 1/3 of the way through his 3rd season. You shouldn't have to look farther than that to understand why the Hornets might want to cash out. I have no idea what they actually want to do, I just want to bring in the guy I see as a premier C talent.
I suggest players/trades based on how they'd benefit my team with a vague filter for cases that don't have plausible justifications. I think Charlotte would be foolish to move Williams, but I'm rooting for them to be fools.

Just go after Jay Huff who is athletic enough to roll for lobs but can also shoot 3s. He is a cheap guy on a team full of big so he could be expendable. Giannis can play with a roll big similar to how Mobley plays with Allen but why not get a guy that can shoot as well.

Fun trade I would like is reunite Lillard with CJ. I always thought Giannis, Lillard and CJ would make a fun 3. Would need some help finding cheap big man or a buy out. Does this win you a championship? Maybe if we outscore everyone.
Bucks: McCollum, Missi and Picks?
Pelicans: Lopez, Beauchamp, Johnson and Portis
Probably add a third team to spread it around like Houston.
PG: Lillard.............Green..........Wright
SG: McCollum......Jackson.....Trent
SF: Middleton.......Conny..........Livingston
PF: Giannis...........Prince..........2 Way
C: Missi.................Buy out.......2 Way

I think the idea is to have 1 center who isn't ultra slow. Huff is solid, but he's also slow.
It is nuts that we never brought in Huff previously though. He started out this season on a 2 way.

No way to CJ, defense is bad enough as it is and there is only 1 ball on the court at a time.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
This actually works in the trade machine and I guess I'd probably do it.
Bucks in
Butler
Highsmith
Richardson
Jovic
Heat in
Middleton
Lopez
Johnson
Wright
2031 1st
Fanspo trade machine says this works but I'm still unsure based on the 2nd apron aggregate rule even though it's 4 for 4.

Nuggets Have Internally Considered Trading Michael Porter Jr.
Khris
Andre Jr
Pat C
Marjon
for
Michael Porter Junior
Dario Saric
DeAndre Jordan
I don't like loosing AJAX . I will try to work around a similar trade where we keep him
It works on fanspo trade machine
EDIT : Yes, adding Livingston (same salary with ajax) works. But I think we will have to trade our '31 1st to get it through.
would you rather keep Ajax and risk whatever that '31 is or keep '31 and give up Ajax ?
I think I would risk trading that '31 1st.... so
Khris, Pat, Marjon, Livingston, '31 1st for Michael Porter Junior, Dario Saric and DeAndre Jordan
I would do it and try to trade both Brook and DeAndre for any mobile bench warmer
