This game was 50/50 until that Coby brick early in the 3rd had they set it up with Zach would only be just down 2pts than 7 then to now…

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

We have been, for 8 years.

Jimmy's played around 80 playoff games since then.

Although at this point, I'm not crazy about dumping Lavine for a consolation prize. He expires in 2 years. I'm interested in tanking those 2 years, not giving SAS a FRP. But I guess that's not happening.

I think we have something in Buz and Ball that we haven't really had.

Coby is having a rough season. So much for MIP/big-extension talk. The way I see it, he is who he is: a $12M player. Paying him more than that would be a mistake unless he shows a new bag of tricks next year. I don't know what he worked on this past summer, but it hasn't translated at all. He's back to looking like a headless chicken: bad defense, unintelligent aggressive drives that get stuffed, high turnovers with few assists, streaky shooting as ever. Truth is, if he doesn't improve, I don't want him to be the starting guard beyond 2026. I'm starting to regret I ever made a Jamal Murray or FVV comparison.

The one and only thing he does is he brings a lot of 3PAs and decent number of makes, but he's on season 6 of hovering between 35-37%, which makes me think that's who he is. Guys like Murray and Herro are in the 39-40% range, with arguably more defensive attention as they average much higher usage.

Tatum has been unreal tonight. Some of the tough shots he has made, sheesh.

I realize it's low sample size, but we've had plenty of sub-10 PER players on the Bulls. Sorry - Buz and Ball are talented and refreshingly high IQ, but they're nowhere near NBA starter caliber (and in Lonzo's case, as wonderful as it is to see him back, it's still a question of whether he'll ever be a 30+ MPG 70+ game player again). They might help Zach win a handful of games in the next year, but they're not helping him to a playoff run any time soon (and if they do, it would be an anomaly/miracle based on their current numbers).

The team was built around Derozan the whole time DDR was here.

PLEASE move White to the bench-start Ayo/Lavine/PWill/Vuc, and make the 5th Matas or Phillips-we need better defense and more shots for our best players

I was at the game tonight. Shots just didn't fall tonight. Just one of those games. But the one thing that really stood out to me tonight was just how much Jaylen Brown and - to a lesser extent - Tatum were getting away with travelling. Brown in particular had multiple plays where he took three or four steps and was never called. I suppose star treatment can help you avoid calls, but these were pretty blatantly obvious where even the Celtics fans I was sitting by in the stands were noticing. Oh well, on to the next one.

NBA stars get to travel. I think it’s just a regular fact of NBA life.

I would like it if Coby tried to sneak a step in. Instead he jumps into no man’s land or forces a difficult shot at rim.

Whether or not we should build around LaVine is its own debate.

But one of my complaints with the front office is that we haven't in a long time actually built around someone. We've accumulated talent without any sort of vision.

We did it with Butler. It was clear that adding Rondo, Wade, and Robin Lopez around Butler wasn't a well constructed roster. Some talented players sure - but not one that fits.

We've done the same thing with LaVine. Addition like Ball are great from a talent and fit perspective. But DeRozan.... Vucevuc.... - again, good players, but not what I would call "building around LaVine"
