Had offers from USC, Washington, Utah, and Arizona state. Three years remaining. He'll probably be the #1 WR next season.

Mettauer, Howard gone.

Some issue with Lucas’s paperwork? Whatever.

I can’t imagine that happened with Lucas…if it did, I doubt it would it matter. He’s getting a bag and wants to go home.

Mettauer - meh.

I feel like there is a “take ball and going home” + some desperation at abandoning ship at most of their highly regarded freshmen to build entirely through the portal (most from lower divisions) now as a new moneyball.

Yeah, rumor was Mettauer was on his way out as soon as Longo was canned.

With DL guys they brought in certainty look like
4-3 type guys. Wonder if that’s where we’re heading with the Will backer being essentially a big safety.

Would love to see Locke/Mettauer/Locke at SHS with Longo.

Another big edge from Kentucky. Minimal production in 3 years.

Regardless of how well it works, our front 7 will be bigger, longer, and deeper (not sexual parlance) than last year.

Seems like it was tough for Latu to get out of that sexual assault dog house. Some might even say, “that seems appropriate.”

Wasn't it essentially verified that Longo didn't want to play Braelon but Fickell did?

I'm almost positive the drama that Braelon was alluding to was that Longo didn't want to play him because he didn't think Braelon was a fit for his offense and Fickell essentially forced Longo to play him

That is the right way to do it, the system ain't perfect but its better then it was when schools were making millions off young kids who couldn't even have a monetized youtube channel.

Not a battle we want to fight here even if there was “tampering.”

Yea, can't imagine this is a good look for Wisconsin. I get that this situation sucks but this is the game that's played right now. I'm also not going to pretend Wisconsin is perfectly innocent in their own right. Best move would be to just let him go, this is a no win situation

I can't imagine what would make UW drag their feet (or just outright refuse) on letting go of Lucas.

So I'm not sure of the specifics but it sounds like this has to do with an NIL contract that Lucas signed with Wisconsin's collective

Interesting. I'd love to know more. Like if he was paid an amount based on him doing two or three seasons of NIL work, and now wants to keep the money and move on, that's gonna be something the public gets behind. Only speculating, of course.
