I don’t think it’s a struggle as much as it is that he’s not very good and never really has been very good. I’d package him in a consolidation trade without a 2nd thought personally. I understand it’s not a popular position but I have my opinions.

Knicks seem to have some energy issues, maybe bc they are not always sure what they want to do … don’t have the team athleticism to overcome that and then make some dumb plays that coach can try to fix

In any event JB’s insane outburst fixed all that tonight — team got all the energy off that

I don’t think it’s a struggle as much as it is that he’s not very good and never really has been very good. I’d package him in a consolidation trade without a 2nd thought personally. I understand it’s not a popular position but I have my opinions.

he's usually a much more engaged defender. I think he's been a bit sloppy on that end. Randle gave him the business to start last game. And yes if Mitch comes back I would be ok with trying to find more of a true wing because our spacing typically goes to sh*t with Precious in the game as well.

Well as you alluded to we need the extra bodies right now but if Mitch does come back he’s probably not going to see the floor much. I mean Mitch isn’t even back, and Towns was in foul trouble, and he still didn’t see the floor much. I don’t think it’s a Thibs thing either. There’s a reason he is on a 1 year 6M deal

I wasn't one of those guys but honestly it may have been better if we did. I believe some of the rumors were Grimes, Fournier and a future first for Murray. We ended up sending Grimes, Fournier and multiple seconds for Bogey and Burks. Bogey had negative value after his struggles with us and multiple surgeries this off-season.

Even with Murray's struggles in ATL he had enough value to pull multiple firsts from NO along with Daniels. He would have saved us some draft capital in 3 team deal between NY, BK and NO if his game didn't completely fall off the cliff, get injured and become 35 years old like Bogey did.

We used Bogie in the Bridges trade. That was his value to us.

Precious was always depth...he really isn't a 4 man because he can't shoot. So he is a small ball 5.

Sims has shown this year he can at least play some quality mins. Mitch will be coming back and you certainly wont be running Mitch and Precious in the same bench lineup because of the bad spacing.

So hopefully someone that needs an energy big has a wing available because we really dont' have much depth behind MIkal/Hart/OG on the wing. And Dadiet isn't in the trust circle.

I am saying his play didn't stand out as him struggling tonight. I pointed out this is only his sixth game back. He's not gonna hit the ground running. I just don't get what made you comment about him after this game. He was not a problem worth mentioning IMO. What is he struggling with? He's a defensive player with a limited offensive game. He just has to find his fit with the team just like everyone else did. He's been playing solid defense so far for the most part.

But we have to trade for another wing, the minutes for Mikal are outrageous. I don't care how much of an Ironman you think he is, these are a career high in minutes for a season, and playing 45 minutes in a December game against the Pelicans has to be toned down.
