new spot will probably be IL+
Yeah, IL+ makes sense. Don't necessarily need another IL, but the IL+ makes much more sense given today's NBA. I mean, the point is, we need people to play all their games. If people don't need the extra IL slots, good for them....they are lucky. No reason to really be against it unless it's to give yourself an unfair advantage.
Are you seeing any manager not on track to play all their games specifically because of IL? I seriously doubt it is an issue. Not one manager has piped in to say they can't get games in because they have too many injuries. It kills the free agent pool because managers stash injured/GTD/OUT players in those IL+ spots. Yahoo does not require them to be dropped if lineup changes aren't made. In the past we have had repeat offenders leaving eligible players in those IL+ spots when they should be in the free agent pool.
You want to add extra IL+ then those need to be policed harshly. Any manager found with uninjured players in an IL/IL+ spot should be penalized multiple draft positions for each occurence.
Yes, over half the teams are way behind in games by as many as 20 or 30. Teams had more players out at times than they had injury spots and therefore got behind. And if this happens, just for a few weeks during the year at one point, it makes it nearly impossible to ever catch up.
I understand you are against it because you have not had the issue and are far ahead in games and have the big advantage and it is too your disadvantage to catch up. It might be to my disadvantage for them to catch up too but I want to see integrity in the league.
We can police it but it isn't a big issue and if someone is made aware that they have a non injured guy in one of those slots, they will have to drop them.
