Very concerning. Crawford even said he's never seen a tape like the one OG had on tonight. I feel like it's only a matter of time before he's gonna be sidelined.

Precious was always depth...he really isn't a 4 man because he can't shoot. So he is a small ball 5.

Sims has shown this year he can at least play some quality mins. Mitch will be coming back and you certainly wont be running Mitch and Precious in the same bench lineup because of the bad spacing.

So hopefully someone that needs an energy big has a wing available because we really dont' have much depth behind MIkal/Hart/OG on the wing. And Dadiet isn't in the trust circle.

We should be getting Shamet and possibly Warren back. That's your wing depth. Not saying I wouldn't trade Precious for some upgrade but, anyone who has been watching this team should want as much depth that Thibs trusts as possible on the roster. If/when we get Shamet/Mitch/Warren back...we could have twelve deep Thibs players. That's what we need.

not thanks to Warren...he doesn't defend a lick. Shamet is 6'4...he will be a dicey wing at best...

If/when Mitch comes back we will have KAT/Mitch/Precious/Sims/Hukporti as center depth. I really don't like Preicous at the 4 at all. So it makes sense to trade one of Mitch or Precious for more true wing depth.

But we have to trade for another wing, the minutes for Mikal are outrageous. I don't care how much of an Ironman you think he is, these are a career high in minutes for a season, and playing 45 minutes in a December game against the Pelicans has to be toned down.

Any trade ideas? Because the pickings may be slim

Mitch for Richards and Cody Martin works and it's a team we've traded with before.


Precious and Sims for Ja'sean Tate works as well, he's not in the Rockets rotation anymore.


Just another body so Josh and Mikal don't play the entire second half, that happens far too often.

This would be really good, but then the Knicks C depth is Mitch (injury prone) and Hukpootie.

Weird that I find myself thinking of a way to keep Sims, because I'd rather have Tate over Richards/Martin - also a decent trade for the Knicks - but it seems like Richards/Martin is the more likely trade.

Four of the five starters playing 40+ minutes against a bad Pelicans team. Thibs hasn’t learned his lesson. He sticks to what essentially is a 5 man rotation, so that he doesn’t have to make adjustments. These guys won’t have anything left come playoff time.

KAT is a huge problem for the opponents as 5 but he can get in foul troubles easily too if they happen to be aggressive. This might be a huge problem for us in the playoffs, he's struggled in the past in such scenarios.

Best if he just allows few buckets on his head, similarly to how Jokic does it and learns how to play good sloppy defense.

That’s why i say run him at the 4 with precious for a bit when the game gets tight, it saves kat’s energy for the offensive side

Tate on the Rockets looks like OG not that lite. Would be a good pickup. If he's out of the rotation like NoDope says, maybe it happens, but they might be holding him any future bigger deals, to be part of that.

Even with that sometimes they give him a couple wack offensive foul calls on drives that can take him out. Thankfully he’s been good about staying out of foul trouble most of the year and this was one of the exceptions

For December we're 4th in DRTG, we're 4th in Net rating for December as well and have jumped up to 13 DRTG for the season. Surprise surprise, the people who spent hundreds of posts saying we'd be a bottom 5 defensive team are nowhere to be found. KAT is down to 59% DFG in rim protection for the month, he's now down to 66% on the season as well and of course people have stopped harping on that aspect of his game
