Not possible because only Brooklyn has the cap space to give Jimmy the max and he does not fit Brooklyn's roster timeline.

So unless Denver will give up MPJ and Nnaji and Miami agree to trade, Jimmy will most likely finish his career in Miami.

I've seen enough. We're just wasting the next 5 months. Give the Cavs the title already.

Well if the season was 27 games they would be champions. Unfortunately it’s not. Let’s hope our guys actually start shooting the ball better. Cavs shooting 50 percent as a team through 27 games.

Miami lost a game where they were leading by 22 pts headed into the 4th. Got outscored 37-8 by the Magic who were missing Banchero, Suggs, and the Wagners.

Per Tim Reynolds, teams were 796-0 when leading by 22+ headed to 4Q dating back 5 years.

Good job, good effort, Miami!

Averaging 3 made threes and around 4 blocks a game. This dude is a monster. I swear it feels like he’s underrated. It’s crazy. That’s just TWO things he’s doing. His shooting was down early, but the last 10-15 games he’s been on one!

25/10/4/4/1 are his averages so far, HE’S 20 freaking years old!!!

You know who has averaged 3 threes and 3 blocks for a season? No one, but Wemby could be the only one if he does it the rest of the season. The next person who had the threes was not even close on the blocks!!! He would literally smash that with the blocks.

I must be overreacting to him, b/c man it feels like people don’t see him as HIMOTHY. It looks so easy and this isn’t his final form, if he has relatively good health over his career. HE CAN GET BETTER!! My gosh!!! Maybe his smoothness is not attractive to some but he has monster dunks and blocks too. He has some of the best make the defense look foolish moves you’ll ever see out of a big.

I don’t want to say he’ll end up better than whoever people feel is the GOAT, maybe not top 5, but if he’s healthy for a long time, it’s not a guarantee he won’t be IMO.

He’ll have to win, that’s for sure, winning isn’t guaranteed, a lot of great players never did. Congrats to all who will get to witness his entire, hopefully long, career.

S/N: I read a comment recently where someone said what happens if he eventually gets Giannis-like swole. I remember toothpick Giannis, that’s why 12 teams passed on him. Ouch. I don’t know if Wemby’s body has that on its card, but the what if would have him being a MONSTAR, which he already isn’t far off that with the pencil body at soon to be 21yo!

P.S. I haven’t posted all the times I have wanted to, I probably won’t post about him more than a couple more times (no promises ). I just can’t believe people don’t mention him much in this thread, even after big games (history books).

I think when the Spurs start becoming the top team in the west, a lot of people will talk about Wemby more.

The Spurs were the top team in the West for 20 years and nobody was talking about Duncan (or the Spurs) until May when there were only three other teams left.

True.

Duncan just don't have that charisma that other superstars have.

Wemby is special and Duncan is great, but when the Spurs are mentioned don't forget about Tony and Manu. And right now, Wemby don't have a Tony or Manu.

No team is beating the Celtics in a 7 game series.

True.

But if Pat Riley believes the Heat are going nowhere maybe he will be open to the idea of trading Butler to the Spurs for a package centered on Keldon Johnson and Harrison Barnes.

If Denver gets Butler then the Nuggets will be legit again.

Guess that will depend on what Pat Riley believes.
