PG: KNICKS vs Pelicans: Cap'n Carried Us!!!

Good comeback win.

But we have to trade for another wing, the minutes for Mikal are outrageous. I don't care how much of an Ironman you think he is, these are a career high in minutes for a season, and playing 45 minutes in a December game against the Pelicans has to be toned down.

Seems like players love Thibs and alluded that players want to play heavy mins (especially during contract seasons).

For December we're 4th in DRTG, we're 4th in Net rating for December as well and have jumped up to 13 DRTG for the season. Crazy that we have the second best offensive in the league but can’t score at all when Brunson isn’t on the floor. Kat has been playing at an mvp level this year and we can’t score without Brunson on the floor. The dude is so important to everything we do on the court that I can’t praise the guy enough. He’s just incredibly good.

What about the people that are trying to convince everyone that the Knicks offense was humming with him off the floor against the Wolves in the 2nd quarter? Also they tell us that any other time there's a nice bench scoring stretch that Brunhog is the problem?

Great stuff and all true. With that said I still believe getting Mitch back (or a trade) will bring up the D even another notch higher. Closer to the dominance we say post OG but prior to when too many injuries piled up. That teams defense and rebounding was truly special.

What I really don't like is that you could present data, and the "concerns" would persist. It wasn't real concern; it was more a hope that we would be bad so the narrative would play out and they could be triumphant. It is pathetic, because the narrative took over and things didn't shake out the way they want they take their ball and go home.
